I’m a new simmer and have flown only the Cessna 152 and 172. I set bindings for rudder trim for my Thrustmaster HOTAS One, but they seem to have no effect in either aircraft. Any suggestions?

I have not flown either aircraft for some time… do either have a rudder trim?

Have you also checked you have definitely set the trim assignments correctly… e.g. if you are using an analogue hardware axis that you have set it as an axis in the sim. Likewise if you are using hardware buttons that you have set then as digital assignments in MSFS?
In addition, have you checked your Assistance Options to confirm you are set to the correct realism?
Cheers!
The Cessna 152 and 172 do not have a rudder or aileron trim control in the cockpit, only an elevator trim wheel. AFAIK in the sim they respond only to the pitch trim control.
IRL, a fixed rudder trim can be set by a mechanic on the ground via a physical adjustment, which would be dialed in to counter the amount of torque at typical cruise speed.
Can confirm. Both 152 and 172 only have mechanical trim (bend a plate a bit) for rudder.
Thanks for your reply. Turns out neither pane has rudder trim.
