ATC enforce flight plan is disabled.
Choosing runway 11 for a tailwind.
I announce over CTAF that Iâm taking of from 11, but I actually spawned on 29.
I then repeated this but with ATC enforced flight plan enabled. Now I spawn on 11 as requested.
From the description this is working as intended. If disabled, ATC decides where you take off from when spawning on a runway. If enabled it follows the âflight planâ, in this case being no flight plan at all other than where I decided to spawn.
If it was working differently before, then maybe that bug has now been fixed. However there is now the new bug where ATC decides where you spawn, but your ATC comms doesnât reflect this, and sticks with the plan.
Another interpretation would be that perhaps this only really works well if you are at a towered field, and you are spawning on the ramp, and not on a runway.

Iâm going to enable it then. I doubt it will cause any problems with BATC or Say Intentions, even if they recommend disabling it. I want to select where I start, not being forced to start where the sim wants.
Having the option ATC enforce flight plan disabled, I can reproduce the ATC issue.
At uncontrolled MYBC, world map proposed runway 29, selecting runway 11, spawned at runway 29 but ATC is referring to runway 11:
At controlled MYNN, world map proposed runway 32, selecting runway 14, spawned at runway 32 but ATC is referring to runway 14:
If there is no existing bug report, feel free to create a new one.
Did the same test in FS2020:
At uncontrolled MYBC: same incorrect result than in FS2024
At controlled MYNN: ATC matched the runway I spawned at.

I must confess, Iâve read all the posts since my earlier one and I cannot tell if there is or is not an issue based on what people have written.

Haha, Iâm a bit confused too now.
Seemingly, there used to be a problem, but no one noticed it. Now that the problem is fixed, people think itâs broken, because it doesnât work the same way it used to.

I always thought it was enforce plan to choose your runways vs unchecked and atc tell you based on weather (playing live weather itâs easier to have tower tell me if I donât know what the weather is doing)
Never knew you could choose your runway before with the non enforce option
Yes, just accidentally encountered this too by forgetting to start at a parking spot. Had selected to depart from runway 32 at KOTH but got spawned on runway 05. ATC still cleared me to take off from ârunway 32â after hitting Ready to Fly.
