Ryzen 1600 @ 3.8 + GTX 1050 Ti (OC'd)

So…I’m back to MSFS2020. Still with a kind of lousy hardware setup. Anyway… Want to give this game (sim) another chance and see how it performs.

Which recommendations do you recommend me?

I also got 16gb + SSD. 27" 1440 Gsync/Freesync LG monitor.

  • Should I run i native resolution or scale?
  • Is “low” the only way int the gfx options to go?
  • other settings to make the game less demanding?

I got all latest drivers etc. =)

I started building a box late last spring, and the only pair of video cards I could find were the 1050 Ti 4gb. I’m running on 4092x2160 with a lot of settings on ultra, and the unnecessary ones turned down/off. vsync is on.

It helps that it’s a decent cpu (i5 12400 6 core/12 threads running at 4 ghz) and lots of very fast ram (128 gb kingston ddr4-3600 xmp2).

For sight-seeing, it’s okay. I’m waiting for the 3060-12gb cards to drop in price a bit more (checked out the 4090, what a joke. It achieves high refresh rates in MSFS by holding back the next frame, creating in interpolated frame, displaying that frame, then displaying the next frame).

Displays are 4x Samsung 50" 4k TVs running at 4096x2160. Running at less than full resolution doesn’t give much speedup.
