Ryzen 5 3600XT + Radeon RX 5700 XT

I’ve been suffering with CTDs since January and freezing since SU5. Does anyone have exactly this rig that works OK? Did you have to do anything to get it to work?

I many cases reported here, the 5700XT is quite finicky with the drivers. And there are a few here who have reverted back to the older drivers. I’m using something from Oct 2020 and perfectly happy with it. Also all settings are Auto and Default for the Radeon … no overclocking. No CPU overclocking too.

Give it a try and see if it is of help.

Did you update everything in the content-manager, delete the rolling cache and did you turn ai traffic off?
I have a similar rig. Did not test heavily, but the newest update seemed ok, CTD wise.

Never use beta AMD drivers in combination with MSFS…

@jpht1964 You may have no choice if you suffer from other issues or play other games ,
but I agree with your suggestion.

Try to update your AMD chipset driver and GPU driver to the latest recommended one.

I have the Ryzen 7 3700X + RX 5700 XT. No overclocking and regularly (just recently) updated the GPU drivers in the Radeon software. I’ve only had a handful of CTDs since release of the game last year. Since SU5 I’ve had 1-2 CTDs in the menu and a few long freezes in flight, but I think they’re also gone since the hotfix.

Which driver are you running atm?

Radeon software version is 21.7.2
and under driver version it says 21.20.21.01-210722a-369924E-RadeonSoftware

Tried rolling back the driver and cleaning out the registry. No change. Oh well.
