Ryzen 7 3700x, 16GB DDR-3200 and Radeon VII 16GB - VR a Possibility?

Title says it all really.

I’m new to MSFS and flight simulation in general but am getting a comfortable 1440p with ultra settings, absolutely no tweaking done. No idea on framerates I’m getting, try not to look as I think if it looks right, it is right. I’m absolutely blown away by the sim - last I tried was FSX/X-Plane 10 and I’ve since invested in a used Sidewinder joystick and XPForce (even feeling prop wash under elevator on startup - wow!). Just Flight PA28 Warrior and pedals next me thinks.

I was very sensitive to nausea when having lessons IRL, soon got over it after scaring a couple of instructors though but I think I’ll have some teething problems with VR as well, hoping I’ll get over it like I did back then (even did aeros in the end).

Ideally I’d like to be able to set a QNH in a Cessna/PA28 without having to touch my nose against the virtual dash and obviously make it as beautiful as can be, though I understand I won’t have 4k ultra settings on that hardware.

I last flew GA around ten years ago (family commitments and therefore cash/time put a stop to it, no clear possibility of flying again for the forseeable) and had my eye on a Reverb G2 so I could fly VFR on the sim to all the airfields I had on my bucket list before giving it up. Am I dreaming?! Hoping that if I one day get back behind the yoke I’ll be slightly less rusty and more confident from get-go, particularly with DR nav and maybe a bit of get me out of trouble IFR, all without GPS (I was always anxious about becoming reliant on the magenta line). I read I could get LARS from some of the bigger airports on VATSim as well so could also practice some radio calls. I was even planning on keeping a sim logbook and doing manual PLOGs before embarking on virtual flights with actual weather - as close to real life as possible.

Thanks!

No takers?!

To fly in VR, it’s absolutely incredible! I have a power PC (I9-11900K, RTX 3090, 32 Gb RAM) and rent a G2 for testing. Do you have also the chance to test a VR glas?

@JCLCGamers
Your gpu imo isn’t really good enough to drive a reverb G2. Your cpu is about the same as mine and i manage ok, your ram is ok. Get a new gpu then a G2 or consider a hmd less demanding vr hmd like a quest 2 (even that will be pushing it).
