Ryzen 7 5700x3d with a rx 7800 xt

OK i need some advice i have an Ryzen 7 5700X3D with an RX 7800 XT 32gb DDR4 3600 Ram with a MSI B550 motherboard now im struggling with FPS even when I turn it down to 1080 from 1440p if im luck i get about 20ish FPS now in GPU is running aat about 40ish % with cpu a round the same yet what ever i do to try to improve performace nothing works at all Ive tried turning thing up to ultra turning things down to high yet if im lucky i may get 1 or 2 FPS extra so i turn to you guys for some words of wisdom

As a former 5800X3D owner I can say that much depends on what you’re flying, and where. Bonanza in KSEZ I could get 50 FPS. Fokker F28 at KLAS I’d see 15 FPS.

Also, it’s critical that you balance your Main Thread and GPU latency.

I suggest watching this video and following the steps to balance your system for FPS, latency, and graphical fidelity.

Make sure your motherboard is updated to the latest BIOS version, often required to get the most out of the X3D chips. While you are in there, make sure XMP or EXPO is turned on to have your memory running at full speed.

Excellent advice.

After the BIOS update, download and install the latest chipset drivers for your B550 motherboard. You can find them on the motherboard manufacturer’s website, or as I prefer, from AMD’s website. Make sure you get the drivers for your specific motherboard model.
