Sahara Caravan
Join us on a caravan through the desert. With an area of 9,200,000 square kilometres (3,600,000 sq mi), the Sahara is the largest hot desert in the world and the third largest desert overall, smaller only than the deserts of Antarctica and the northern Arctic.
Our first leg will lead us over the Tassili n’Ajjer national park, which is an UNESCO world heritage site. Cave art in this area dates back to 10000 B.C.
From here we will continue the trip north east into Lybia. After a few stops we will reach our destination, the city of Sabha. In historical times, Sabha was a major centre of the Libyan caravan trade.
This group flight has no big challenges and is mostly about enjoying the scenery and having fun flying together. At a cruise speed of 150kts the net flight time is about 2h. With some breaks along the way it will take a little longer.
We will make a full stop landing at every airport to keep the pack together. No one will be left alone in the desert

“Join when you can, leave if you must” is the philosphy when it comes to attending
the FSB group flights. It is totally fine to arrive late and join up whatever leg we are currently on. Or even mid air!
