Saitek Flight Panels

MS has been aware of the SimConnect issue since the beginning of release. They hope to have it fixed with the upcoming upgrade this week. Then hopefully the stutters and fps hit will be resolved.

They’re all the same file, sĂ„ you only need to download it once, if you have additional products.

Be sure to start MSFS first and then use the Logitech driver shortcut on your desktop to get it to work. Allegedly this won’t be necessary the next time MSFS is updated.

Here’s a list of third party software

Don’t buy anything until you’ve tried the demo first!

I agree with you, I received an e mail from Logitech stating they are working on updates. You would think the folks at MS2020 would have had this one operational before releasing the sim. Makes me think they are more looking at the x box release which will not have the ability to utilize saitek panels. Hmm

Apparently they did.

Received my Saitek Switch Panel today (still waiting for the AP panel). Tried Lorby first. Very simple install, and didn’t have to configure anything. It just worked. But - game started stuttering a bit.

So I then tried DCS Flightpanels. Had to configure every single switch from scratch, which sucked, but after all that, it now seems to work without any stutters or performance loss. It’s definitely good enough until a patch gets released. Oh, and by setting the landing gear LEDs to “manual”, they kinda work too (by using a preset light sequence, I guess, depending on lever position).

Quite happy with it. Didn’t feel as flimsy as I had thought.

Patch is available

However, my software did nothing on launch, is there a way to verify version number?

If you are using Steam you have to download the update through the Steam UI then launch the simulator and it will update.

ok where is my panel drivers :stuck_out_tongue:

Well I’m getting a steady framerate over Miami with AxisAndOhs running, with no improvement when I close it. So it seems like SimConnect has been fixed :slightly_smiling_face:

Anyone else want to confirm?

Hey viper, off-topic but have you played the World War II mod for DCS? Trying to decide if I want to invest back into IL-2 or tried DCS. I have very little interest in flying modern air combat

How do you get this to work? I have the Multi panel.

Thanks, I tried that at first
I guess the update lagged a little while there. It is now available, thanks Macross43.

Seems to be working well for me too, SimConnect no longer stutterin

Where can we download simconnect

SimConnect is just a part of MSFS. Just update the sim and SimConnect gets downloaded and fixed automatically

Hi. No, actually haven’t tried DCS at all. so I wouldn’t know

I found the program in this thread, as an alternative to the resource hogging ones. I guess it might not be needed anymore now though

I don’t actually think the Multipanel works (AP panel right?) 100% with this software. Somebody else in the thread said that the screens won’t work. Don’t know about the rest, as I haven’t gotten the Multipanel I ordered yet.

But you should try AxisAndOhs, with the new patch. It’s supposed to be compatible with all the Saitek / Logi panels. There is a free version.

I’ve just finished a fly with AxisAndOhs and my panels worked as intended without any stutters (Multi Panel / Switch & Radio Panel)

Is anyone here able to change the event config on their switch panels, in AxisAndOhs? For me it just crashes every single time I click on the Events button (for remapping the switches).
