Saitek Flight Panels

I 3d printed some legs for my panel stack. Works surprisingly well.

If you have the Honeycomb Yoke then it’s because you have the switches assigned. Unassign them and then that will fix the increment issue. According to yesterday’s development update this should be addressed in the upcoming patch.

Thanks @Tr1cky

Hopefully, if this has been acknowledged, and a fix is forthcoming in the upcoming patch, it sounds like it will be quite soon

The best way to ensure it does is for anyone with a honeycomb yoke to report it to Zendesk. Don’t assume someone else has, every ticket counts, as it will increase its visibility.

I removed Lorby`s Axis and Spad.Next Trial, reviewed all my command bindings to make sure there’s no other buttons interfering and reinstalled the Logitech tool, now it is working properly (1Âș for HDG/CRS, 100 ft for ALT). I’m not sure if it would help you but maybe it’s a worth try.

Yes, x-plane is working ok (now I have uninstalled x-plane plugins, but problem is still not solved). Device manager have the same entries.

Hi Tr1cky,

I have read your posts in this thread with some interest. Thanks for all your advice.
I was particularly interested in your instructions for generating a “splash window” to see what the status of my own connections are. Here is the result:

As can be seen, the Plugin status is reported as “Running”, but the DirectOutput status shows as “Not running”.

I am using a Saitek yoke, a Multi panel and a Switch panel and whilst the yoke is fine, the functionality of the panels seems flaky at best.

I would be grateful for any further advice you might have.
Thanks.

Hello, you need to turn avionics “on” to have the radio and panel working but on the airliners you can’t do it ( it is “on” by default and it is not acknowledged by the Logitech panels). It works fine on general aviation aircrafts though.

So you’re saying it works fine in X Plane once you reinstall the plug in for that? Do you have the flight products displayed on the FIP when a plug in isn’t running?

@anon81017491 DirectOutput is only needed if you have the FIP. Could you please describe the behaviour you’re seeing with the panels you have?

Yes, x-plane works fine. And no, when a plugin isnÂŽt running is screen black.

Yeah the panel shouldn’t be black when it’s not being used, so the fact that it works with X Plane is very odd. If you run the -p command line that I’ve mentioned in this thread, does the splash screen say that DirectOutput is running?

Multi/ Switch/ Radio panels work
However FIP and BIP panels don’t work for me

Yes, you are true hero! When I have both on (FIP and Multipanel), -p parametr says “directoutput running”. But now, when I tested only FIP (Multipanel unpluged) “directoutput not running”.
So:

And finally FIP displays “also available ads etc
” and yes, now is working awesome too!
I think there was a problem in corrupted directoutput folder. Thank you for your help.

You’ve got a device with an issue on the FIP - that’s what that yellow exclamation mark is telling you. Try right-clicking it, uninstalling and then unplug/replug the FIP to see if it comes back correctly.

You may have the same issue with the BIP but I can’t see the whole image. If you have a device with an error like you do the FIP then try the same procedure.

Hi friends. I was gifted a bunch of Saitek flight panels but they didn’t come with the screws to mount them together; does anyone know what size screws I would need to buy to replace them?

Thanks

@FerretWitASpork this is what I use
4mm-.7 x12mm screws

Ah good, I do not have any FIP’s.

An example of odd behaviour, well, I can set an altitude and climb rate and the AP then executes just fine, but I cannot then set a descent height and rate without first disengaging and then re-engaging the AP.

Thanks.

At last! Problem solved. Thanks a million
