Hello everyone, thanks for reading me.
I have changed equipment (from an i7 4790K with 16G and GForce 1070TI to a Ryzen 5800X with 32G and Radeon 6800XT). Obviously I had to reinstall the simulator. After a looooong week of continuously downloading 24 hours a day, I was finally able to start the program.
I have the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Rudder pedals for the controls.
With Windows and drivers up-to-date, EVERYTHING ELSE running smoothly I found that the configuration of the controls reappears as I had left it -I suppose they will be saved in the cloud- and to my surprise many of the Yoke function keys stopped working. function as they should. I repeat that everything was set up and working fine the last time I played it with my old team.
I can’t get an external and internal view through the assigned key (T5 and T6) and the pedal settings are almost violent, pulling me off the track.
I was this weekend trying a lot of configurations, I even thought that the one I had had been damaged and I opted to delete it and do everything again … but it still does not work as it should be. It happens with the planes of the game and also with those that I have purchased separately. I have tried with the program just installed and having the community folder empty. I have a Microsoft Store version.
Does anyone know if there is some kind of problem with the last update we had recently? It is something related to the FS2020 because I also installed X-Plane and ALL the controls work as they should, so I discard that it is something related to the controls. I know we were going to have an update this 24th and it has been postponed to September 7th. I have no idea if this is a problem only of mine, or it also affects other users, I really don’t know what else to do. Ideas please ?. Thank you
Hello, I have the same equipment, no worries for me, I have the software installed, I would not be able to tell you if it has an incidence or not in the game, and that it works well thanks to it.
But after thinking about it, I think not, because my pedals work well and no software
Check the latest drivers for Saitek yoke on the Logitech Website. To run with Msfs, you need latest driver version.
I have same setup (also with Saitek panels), and everything works fine in msfs and xplane.
Have good flights
Hi and thanks for your answer. I am using the latest drivers available from Saitek / Logitech (which are not current, the same ones I used on my previous computer, version 8.0.213 from the 28th of last month). I see the Logitech panel to program the controls, I see the controls but I do not access any profile and in the profile pack on the site there is no FS2020 among them since the last ones are from 2017, prior to the departure of FS2020. In my previous installation I was able to configure the controls without any type of drivers, it took them directly and this work. If anyone has a copy of the profiles for FS2020 and shares it with me, I will be grateful.
Gracias por tu comentario!
Thanks for your answer. The strange thing is that with the previous configuration that was loaded automatically when I reinstalled the game, I had a lot of options changed. I have managed to make everything work (last night I went to bed at 2.30AM!) But the cockpit and external views are not working, which are the ones I use the most and had assigned to the T5 / T6 key. Obviously I can do it with the keyboard, but when using two simulators I prefer to have both working with the same configuration. I will continue investigating, it is very strange to me. For me it is something from the last update. I will wait until September 7 when it updates to see if it is solved. Thank you to all who collaborated!
Guessing in the logitech utility or windows controller page you don’t see the same jerky movements and that T5 and T6 switches are working?
Have you tried different usb ports? I had to change mine over to get the best response on the same yoke and pedals. Separate usb port for the pedals and another for the yoke.
Worth checking to see if there are any keys things to the same commands as the T5/6 switch i.e. keyboard input to change the view. Try cheating it if there is. Also try clearing the assignments for T5/6 and then reassigning them.
Hello hello, load up the Devices and Printers page in control panel. Then right click on the Game Controller Setting. Then go to properties. This should have all of the buttons displayed. Leave this up while flying. Also, restart the flight sim and leave that properties menu open while flying. It fixes the problem for my X52.
OKAY. Thanks to everyone who responded, I must tell you that I DID NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ABSOLUTELY, and after several “checking for updates” it started working again just like it did before.
It must be the ghost of Asobo
