Curious if anyone has run into this. I have two saitek throttle quadrants and for the most part they work great. But occasionally, when putting a throttle or mixture lever (any lever) to the idle stop, they will periodically jump to full. Which is terrible if I’m taxiing and suddenly get a blast of full power or overtorque an engine. There is a button below the idle stop which I don’t have bound to anything. I can’t replicate this behavior in the axis sensitivity view in the control settings, only in the plane. Maybe I can set a dead zone?
Ive recently had one die it seemed to get stuck on the indent below the main axis
nothing would fix it it maybe its on its way out
Check axis behaviour using Windows USB game Controller applet - it’s good for seeing “jumps” or uncommanded inputs. This looks like a sign that the potentiometer is on it’s way out. You could try cleaning with judicious application of DeOxit (use the thin drink straws that come with WD-40 cans) if it’s just buildup, but a faulty pot means some DIY repair or replace.
Are there any throttle commands that are duplicated in the two sets?
