I already uninstalled and reinstalled MSFS 2020 and it still retained the x-56 settings. So, they are deeply buried somewhere in a file that is retained even after uninstalled and/or in a registry setting in windows 10.
I’m going to unplug all the peripherals this time, uninstall MSFS to include folders in user/appdata/etc etc. The reinstall, then look at control settings, then plug peripherals back in. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks for all your help.
Well, I’ve tried everything and still no joy on the joystick. So I bought the thrustmaster airbus joystick yesterday (Amazon gods) and plugged it in today and everything works fine. I contacted Logitech and was sent a laundry list of things to try (90 percent I already did try). They are going to replace the joystick portion of the X-56 because they said it sounds like a sensor in the hardware is malfunctioning.
Thanks all for the assistance and expertise.
I’m getting major issues, with Every Flightsim. In fact I have just returned X PLANE 12 to Steam for refund. My X 56 THROTTLE works fine, my stick, not so much. Unable to Calibrate the stick in X and Y axis at all. Yet the mini stick calibrates perfectly. I can fly in FSX STEAM and P3d v 4 on the mini stick. I have the latest X56 files I can get from Logitech but I cannot bring up the program (which runs off an. exe, not. msi) cannot calibrate using Joy. Cpl. I wish I knew how to fix this. I’ve even gone back to Windows 10, which actually, I prefer.
