Ok, only just got Flight Sim installed and running, and only on the first tutorial but can anyone help explain why my Saitek X52 isn’t working?
If I do a CTRL + C, I see the controller with all the little numbers pointing to the myriad buttons, hats and switches, but a hover over them or a click on them does nothing.
When the intructor tells me to bank the aircraft, I ease my stick to the right and… nothing!!! What am I doing wrong?
Before someone suggests faulty hardware, it works perfeectly well in FSX…
When the sim is loading, I see the keyboard, mouse and my X52 pro selected as the controls, and when I hit ESC and go to controls, the X52 is clearly there.
Can anyone help??
You have to setup the axis of the x52pro manually. Search the forum for x52pro setup how you can do this.

Ok, so I did the whole ‘unplug the X52, start flight sim, go into controls then plug it in’ and it now works like a dream.
the default profile is actually really good. Very intuitive and sensible.
The video mentioned by @StangDriver7226 is very good, but this was not the issue I was having at first. The controller was visible in the controls section, it just wasn’t doing anything when flying… So, the Axis was mapped to the controller, it just didn’t move the plane in flight.
If you start the Sim, then plug the joystick in. This worked for me.
X-52 Pro Hotas brand new is not working with MSFS 2020 as it is supposed to.
It seems to not work exclusively to all prop aircraft, including all default prop aircraft.
I’ve spent more than 6 hours trying to resolve this with no resolution. Reached out to friend flight simmers, made a topic, replied to other topics, put in a zendesk report, put in a logitech support ticket, tried calling 3 listed customer support #'s but none of them worked. Clicked a link to submit a ticket with Saitek and the link did not work.
I’ve created post on social media in MSFS groups.
I just want to fly with my $200 Hotas that I purchased stricktly for MSFS 2020.
