Sanity check - can a specific aircraft glitch TrackIR?

As the title says: is it possible for there to be something unique about a specific aircraft and the way it was coded in the game that can cause problems with TrackIR?

The idea sounds crazy when I say it but I can’t deny the evidence. I have a certain aircraft which seems to make my TrackIR behave in bizarre ways. I’ll be flying along, staring straight ahead, and suddenly TrackIR will flip out and I’ll find myself upside down staring out along the wing, or looking down into the rear seats, or in some other crazy position. If I jerk my head TrackIR “remembers” where I am and the POV returns to normal but the sudden glitches persist at random.

I thought there was something wrong with my TrackIR itself, and even opened a support ticket with Natural Point. Then I realized I had been flying this particular addon aircraft almost exclusively for the past few days. When I switch to default aircraft, or addons by other developers… the TrackIR problems seem to vanish.

And yet, I still can’t imagine what a developer could do in an addon plane that would cause this even if they wanted to, let alone by accident.

So what say you? Is such a thing even within the realm of possibility?
