Does the Navigraph-Navdata bgl files conflict with the bgl of the airports ?
It is important to put them as top of the list or bottom of the list ?
It’s irrelevant how the folders in the community folder or ordered.
Important is, that the structure within that folder is not altered.
There is a root folder and in that folder are .jason files and the mod stuff.
It doesn’t matter what the root folder is named. You can rename them to your liking. As long as Community/Folder/Modfiles is maintained.
And AFAIK there is no particular order MSFS loads addons.
I probably wasn’t clear.
If I have 2 mods for the same airport on the community folder.
How can I tell which one will be the one presented ?
I know I can just disable one to make sure the other one is taken, but with this context in mind, I can’t disable the Navigraph-Navdata as it probably contains important stuff that is not related to a scenery per say, probably only to things like details about the frequencies, runways and procedures.
They should not interfere.
ok, Thanks.
I want that to be true, but that’s unfortunately not what I’ve experienced. Last week I got the Madrid addon. When I loaded the sim, I was seeing two airports at the same time. I had to go back to Content Manager, remove the MS/Asobo Madrid, and restart to solve the problem.
I’ve also had a problem with the payware Meigs and Key West not showing properly, there were terminals missing. I had to put those airports at the top of my content.xml file to make them show properly.
I know scenery developers should create exclusion masks when overwriting a default airport. But, doesn’t seen to be the case. At least for me.
So I really want
I had to do the same with FlyTampa’s YSSY.
I had to disable the default version.
If you have two mods for the same airport, if they are both terminals etc, you probably will have some issues.
It could be as bad as a CTD, or as minor as some duplicated scenery item.
If one is a lighting mod, and one the actual terminal, you could get lucky and have them play well together.
Nav data is independent of the scenery. It is not contained with the scenery files.
I’ve been under a rock for a while - I haven’t seen any information or instructions on modifying the content.xml file. I didn’t even know the existence of a content.xml file
This reminds me of X-Plane11 where the order of files in the Scenery folder would determine if things rendered properly - or at all.
I have Navigraph and just purchased the CUSCO payware scenery. I am unable to load any approaches or SIDS in the payware even though they worked fine with the default scenery. Is there any modification I can make to a file structure to get this to work?
(I did contact the scenery author and they are looking into it)
Navigraph still makes a mess on a few (or many) airports by putting their version on top of addons. I’ve tried changing the order in Content.xml, but without success.
My addon for ENRO is partly overwritten.
I think the scenery maker has to setup the ILS and whatnot. I know with a few sceneries I have from flight sim.to, the authors have to add them back in. Maybe someone else can offer a better explanation. I don’t want to steer you wrong.
