How come I can’t record the screen, or take a screenshot using print screen, without all the colors looking washed out and awful? I recorded a landing in OBS Studio. It looks really bad. Colors are all washed out.
Sounds like your using HDR? You could either switch HDR off or use the Microsoft Game Bar overlay to take the screenshots / videos. Theres also an option in the NVidia overlay if i remember rightly. Otherwise there are all sorts of fancy tools you can use to record / capture HDR.
So Game Bar can handle it, but not OBS or default screen grab? Might just turn it off for MSFS. I always fly in VR with my Pimax Crystal, but does HDR affect both my monitor and the headset? Can it be on on one and off on the other?
I don’t use OBS, so I can’t vouch for this. But it looks like you can do it.
How To Capture & Record HDR (High Dynamic Range) Footage Using OBS Studio on Windows 10 or 11.
If it taxes my system more, I’ll probaby just turn it off if I want to record something, and then back on. Not a big issue as I do not record that often.
Probably the easiest solution.
