I landed the PC-6 w/ floats on a lake and it behaved really strangely.
I would try to turn it, but it would snap back like it was on a bungie cord. I’d firewall the throttle and it would swing toward the direction I wanted to go and then it would fling itself back to the original direction.
It was impossible to orient it for a takeoff given the terrain.
Raising or lowering the water rudders made no difference.
