Thanks. I will check the area and make adjustments and add the banana fields.
St. Lucia Island.
The first island with variety of tropical biomes .It features ten different types of tropical biomes, so you won’t be seeing the same biome over and over. Each turn brings something new and awesome to catch your eye.
Some gigantic trees around Porto (Portugal). If you spawn at LPPR and look inland and quite far to the south you will see a few odd ones. Some alone, some clumps in a forest.
This will be fixed in Version 2.0
Great job! That looks that something that could be done in Papua New Guinea that currently have a repetitive rainforest canopy and wrong conifers on higher mountain tops.
This level of variety is really nice to see.
Hey man just a quick question, is your Greece project still alive? It looks promising so far
Yes but I have to find time! We can talk about that on the dedicated topic to keep this one for Bijan.
Thank you.
Fixed the trees on mountain top in Papua New Guinea.

Bijan, can these biome data be automated, so you dont have to manual edit them.

Here is the data for biomes, can you automate them in sim.
thanks,
Tero
I wish…
Automating the biome data using the information in the link you provided is not possible due to the structure of MSFS. The trees within the simulator are stored in MSFS server clouds and are directly linked to the locally installed biome system. Each tree is assigned a specific code and biome name derived from ecoregions.appspot.com. As a result, any modifications made outside of this system would not be recognized or applied within the sim.
okay, that would have been a solution
Seriously… I’ll really never understand how this works.
I had to reinstall MSFS2020 and I’m trying to add back all my addons. Up until now I was using 4 Seasons pack 7.5, which had a 40MB Model Asset folder, plus the various seasons (each of which was something like 70-90MB). It’s been working perfectly fine for years.
I decided to upgrade to “4 SEASON PACK V8-EARTH FX EDITION MSFS20”. Which is something like 2-3MB and there’s no model asset. So I simply installed the Winter folder “Bijan_EarthFX_Seasons_Winter_N_Summer_S”.
Is there a way to make sure it actually works? Perhaps visit some specific area.
I also assume that EarthFX is not included in the above 2MB and I have to also install “EARTH FX BY BIJAN MSFS20” (v1.1, 242MB).
Did you look at the install.txt to read the instructions?
Hmm, OK got it.
3- Copy only ONE of the season folders to your community folder.
4- Download EarthFX from simMarket: EARTH FX BY BIJAN MSFS20
Thanks!
A question:
(hopefully not asked before, but haven’t found it so far)
Can I use your addon also without your terrain masks?
I’m not happy that it makes snow brownish, prefer the default tone.
Could I delete or change which files?
Or could you provide a version where we could switch on/off terrain masks easily with addon linker having it in seprate folders?
many thanks
Hi
Can you tell me where it does turn snow into brown so I can look into it.
I’ll create a separate folder for mask in next update for some areas.
Hello,
I must apologize. I made a thorough test and there’s no difference regarding snow.
Must have been some unlucky settings at first.
All in all, I think snow is tooooo brownish, especially at morning or evening compared to reality in MSFS2024. But that is not different with your masks, so not “your fault”.
Sorry
I apologize if this has been asked before but do these Jacaranda trees have a seasonal variation? I love these trees and there are streets near me that are lined with these and when they bloom it is quite spectacular. But these trees only bloom in the spring and during the winter lose their leaves. Even if nothing can be done, it’s is a real pleasure to find these trees dotted around California.
You are right. This should have no blooms after june/july. I will check the duration of blooms on these jacarandas.
use osm data “natural” “tree”, “olive tree” etc, and opensource tree library, compile them with sdk etc.
Bijan try it, i would do it, but dont have the skills.
To download tree data from OpenStreetMap (OSM), you can use the Overpass API to query and extract specific features, such as trees or vegetation. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Visit the Overpass API website: Go to the Overpass API website (overpass-turbo.eu) to start your query.
- Construct your query: Use the Overpass QL language to specify the data you want to download. For example, to download tree data, you can use a query like this:
ql
[out:json][timeout:25];
(
node["natural"="tree"];
way["natural"="tree"];
relation["natural"="tree"];
);
out body;
- Execute the query: Run the query on the Overpass API website. The results will be displayed in JSON format.
- Download the data: Save the JSON output to your local machine.
