It doesn’t matter. Either way you need to restart MSFS to see new changes.
Hi,
Thank for your great mode.
Is it possible to take in count the altimetry?
because in French Alpes, the tree kinds are wrong, fir trees everywhere. In Alps you find conifers only, it s a myth. In France conifers start at 1700m, they takes the lead between 1900m and 2100m after it’s rocks, so it’s completely different of Canada. beech or oak trees until 1900m. If you can try a fix. Example : 45.041823, 6.132454. 1900m no conifer. image from a school book.
Thanks for the reply and clarification Bijan! I understand my expectations might have been a bit unrealistic lol, I apologize for that. Regarding the requests, can I input a request for the cleanup of pg trees around LIRF and LIBD? The situation is very bad there
Hi @bijanstudio
I just installed the latest update in MSFS2024 but the dominican republic is still broken. Most of the trees are missing. You can check that at MDPP and MDLR. The terrain looks flat, missing most of the trees.
I got it from simmarket. Is it possible to access another build, even a beta one? I mostly fly in the dominican republic so now im mostly grounded
This is not entirely true. Altitude is a parameter, but it depends on the location and orientation to the sun as well. And I’m sure those parameters can not be taken into account. Take a look at LFMR (Barcelonnette Saint-Pons) : the airfield sits at 1100m. All the surroundings are populated with a mix of deciduous and conifers, mostly larch trees (mélèzes), spruces (epiceas), austrian black pines (pins noirs d’Autriche), scots pines (pins sylvestres)…
This proportion of conifer is pretty well represented in the sim with Bijan’s mod even though I admit I would prefer the “Alps” biome to have more Pinus Sylvestris and less actual fir trees beween 700m and 1700m and the larch trees should have a bigger size compared to the other conifers around. Hopefully Bijan can find time to tune this some day.
Hi
This was not like that in previous MSFS update. I will have an update for this within next week.
Thanks a lot!
Added to my to do list:
Hey Bijan great add ons! Love Seasons and EarthFX!
Question…. I am considering also adding Landmark Hawaii scenery package by Flyndrive4D, will they all work together?
Thanks
I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the Seasons and EarthFX add-ons!
Regarding your question about the Landmark Hawaii scenery, since I don’t have that particular add-on, I can’t definitively test it on my end to give you a 100% confirmation.
However, based on how my add-ons are developed, it should work just fine. My products modify different aspects of the simulator than a scenery package like that, so conflicts are very unlikely.
Happy flying!
Thank you for the response. I bought the Landmark Hawaii after all. For future reference if anyone ever asks again there are no conflicts.
Cheers.
Bijan, just came here to say I added your work with Seasons 2.7 and it has improved the sim experience greatly.
I also am impressed with your willingness to accept request. This is so exceedingly rare.
Just thank you.
Bijan… have you considered Snoqualmie Falls, Fall City Washington USA?
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into Snoqualmie Falls—looks like a beautiful area with great potential for enhancement.
Hi Bijan, great work. I’m really enjoying it. Could you please adjust the brown areas in the forests between the trees in the terrain masks of Europe (in the Czech Republic) and add some low shrubs between them? The forests look very sparse, and the brown color only emphasizes this. Also, would it be possible to somehow mask the white areas of fields, which are very distracting in the summer? Thank you for your commendable work!
edit: When I remove the terrain mask of Europe, it’s a little better, but still not satisfactory. I mean the brown between the trees.
Hi
I checked several places in and I don’t see any of the issues you mentioned.
Do you have exact coordinates?
I also have lots of low shrubs between trees:
From LKPA airport towards the southeast and generally around the city of POLIČKA
Those areas use the same vegetations as I just posted
I’ll check this out. Thanks
