This is pretty much the same across all the national parks after the new world update. Asobo has already been notified, so I’m just going to wait for their response before spending any time on it.
Disappointing to see that World Updates are still being published with significant amounts of photogrammetry trees - especially this World Update which is so explicitly focused on landscape.
I assume it is a LOT of manual work to suppress the PG trees on the huge area of all national parks, given the complicated rock relief nearby that must not be disturbed by the excludes.
Kind of hard to believe AI couldnt help a lot with this kind of task…?
The worst part is that PG data providers like Vexcel Imaging have software that makes it fairly easy to clean up the scenes—see the second video in this thread at the 41:00 mark.

Removing photogrammetry trees is only half the battle; finding suitable replacements is its own challenge. Furthermore, extracting trees that are fused to houses is particularly difficult.
For now, I can’t address the photogrammetry trees introduced in WU22. Sim Update 6 beta has completely broken SDK, polygons and water polygons, and causing crashes and not saving your work, etc. forcing me to uninstall SU6 entirely until these major issues are resolved.
I’m sure it’s not easy. In any case, that statement was aimed at MicroSobo, not you!
HI, no problem. I will take care of it in the next update.
Hi Bijan,
Near treeline in the mountains of New England (Adirondacks, White Mountains, Katahdin, etc.) there seems to be a lot of deciduous trees and tall pines. Realistically above 3500ft, most the trees are shorter pines, and within the last hundred or so feet the trees are no taller than knee height.
Super grateful if you could do something about this in the next update.
Hi.
Thanks for the feedback and the reference photos. I’ll take a look at it and see what I can do.
Bijan, I think there’s a problem in the Sequoia National Park.
No Sequoia at all. ![]()
Without your add-On, we see them (and a huge amount of PG Tree, unfortunately)
Are you using SU5 or SU6? There is no issues with SU5.
I’m not using SU6 beta because SDK is not functional.
Beta SU6 1.8.35
Those are not the one.
You posted the correct tree in another forum post.
Yes, the images in the other forum were taken without the Bijan add-on.
I tested it twice—with and without the add-on—and with it installed, there are no Sequoias visible on screen.
This needs to be confirmed by other testers (SU6 beta).
I also noticed that there were no giant sequoias visible on or around the General Sherman trail in Sequoia NP. I had the latest version of SE, and using sim 5.1. They could have been missized, but they weren’t apparent at all from the air. There were, however, some on the ridge to the southwest.
