Seasons 2024 Enhanced - By Bijan - Released

I’ll keep that in next to do. It won’t be just trees. I’ll remove PG houses as well. Just leaving the main tall buildings skyscrapers.

This can be optional for those who want to keep everything in PG.

Scandinavia need desparately some fine tuning!
I checked several places in Finland, all the coniferous trees are gone. Finland should be filled mostly with pines (Pinus sylvestris) and spruces (Picea abies) and of course birches and other deciduous trees. Same goes to Sweden.

Karigasniemi, Finland (Finland - Norway border). It’s quite north, but there should be mostly pineforests. And when you go bit more north and northeast and higher grouds, thats where those smaller bdediduous trees are (tunturikoivu in Finnish (Betula pubescens* subsp. *czerepanovii)).
And in Scandinavia latitudes dediduous trees should have leafs only in summertime (late May to earlly October).

Somewhere in Southern Savonia, Finland. Bigger trees can be seen only village outbounds. Forest should filled with pines, spruces ans birches.

Somewhere in Sweden (aprox Stockholm latitude). There should be also big pines, spruces and birches.

Norway (Sirdalsvatnet) looks good in southwest, but when you go more north, there are less coniferous trees.

Overall treeline is way too south in Scandinavian area.

Hopefully you can fix these some day…

Bijan, I see some trees in the coast (sea water) in southeast Spain, is this the same in other parts and can be removed? Thanks

Here is one more from Norway. Near Tynset airfield (ENTY), Tronfjell on a horizon. Google Street View somewhere in the area.
There should be mostly pines and spruces. And higher you go, trees should be smaller.

Something is wrong with your setup.
Scandinavia looks perfect the way it is. I just looked now.
Check to see if you are not running any other tree mod and check your marketplace content too.
Make sure you have the latest version and restart.

I don’t have any tree or other season mods in use, only planes and few scenarios in NZ and US Idaho.
I’ll check that anyway without any addons than yours.

Seasons v1.1 in use, downloaded yesterday.

@Bijan I took a quick look at Halifax, Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, and Winnipeg. There seems to be a consistent pattern of a few massive (50-story) trees and numerous smaller, oversized AI trees in every city where Asobo has not removed the PG trees.

The monster trees are difficult to spot because it’s winter, the monster trees are deciduous, and they have lost their leaves. But they are still there.

If MS-Asobo is serious about creating a realistic digital twin of the world, automating the removal of PG trees and correcting oversized AI trees should be their responsibility.

I don’t know whether or not it would be within the realm of this addon, but can you remove the buildings from White Sands Natl. Park in New Mexico? The ai covers it in warehouse type buildings. There is only one spot in the middle of the park that has some buildings in real life.

The famous Bondi beach in Sydney, Australia is another example of this.

Can you please send the coordinate and email it to me? Thanks

@MeusMagister if this is infact a global scale issue, you’re right. It would take forever for me to clean them up. I’ve already done 3 cities and wait to see if they are it to “bug logged”

@ual763 I’ll take a look at the locations and see what can be done. Thanks

@iNherjer glad to hear that. Thanks

I will certainly buy this package soon, looks amazing…
@bijanstudio there is a giant palm tree near Barcelona, coordinates (from Google Maps) are approx. 41.35543557525157, 2.1253884372874077

Thanks for the report but I don’t see the tree using my mod.
Probably it was automatically removed by the changes I did prior to biomes.

I agree. It was a same kind of problem in the Alps, Pyrenees and South east of France in the previous version. Bijan fixed it pretty much in v1.1 so I’m sure he can look at it for a next build.
There is still some work to do in those regions but that might need a specific mod, manually edited in SDK with polygons.

Hi, I know you are really busy working hard for all of us. I have looked all over and after buying (old customer) your new Seasons for MSFS 2024, I have the folders unzipped in my downloads folder, but can’t figure out how to install or if it is just copy and pasting in community folder, I can’t find that…
Using Steam- it is now in the “Packages” subfolder. Thanks so much for everything!!

Correct, Just place the two folders in your community folder and restart the sim.

Thank you for the support.

I noticed most trees still have leaves in UK with this mod. It is November so it’s not believable. The native sim looks more believable. I live near a major forest in the south east by the way

This is south England right now with my mod. As you can see any trees have leaves. I actually extended fall season on this mod.
Are you saying they should have leaves in the sim or real life?

December 1st

And this January 6th:

Yes exactly. In real life in South East England you will not find many leaves on deciduous trees between November and March (and most of UK is deciduous as a % of total tree base). In your screen shots you can see plenty. I appreciate your efforts here it just needs tweaking. Native MSFS24 has got the trees nailed, they are just too large. All yours need to do is tweak the size and not play around with other parameters then it would be far better.

This is not entirely true as there are evergreen trees there as well and not all of them lose their leaves in winter.

Pine trees from the same area:
These don’t lose leaves.

This is the view of trees outside my back garden this morning. The majority of deciduous trees leaves are gone now, sycamore in this pic, oak trees keep on to theirs a while longer( gone by January).
