It is definitely a step in the right direction, but not (yet) perfect. I also noticed that the brown lines that appear on the terrain are shown as elevations in the nxi terrain map.
Are the new terrain masks an option?
Thankfully yes.
Yes, as mentioned in readme file, “Terrain Mask” mod is still in experimental stage as there are few bugs that need to be fixed.
I did a few flights with the Terrain Mask 1.1 mod today and really liked it! And flying with fall colours is absolutely amazing. So happy about this Seasons add-on!!!

Exactly my feeling. I do like the colors but the terrain is missing definition. Especially in VR with lower res some area’s are looking to much FSX. It’s too much.
Terrain Mask Version 1.2 will be available later on today.
1- Water issue in Scandinavia fixed
2- Upper section of Japan is now covered.
3- Brown colors from runway reduced.
4- Contrast enhanced
5- Terrain pattern is not visible anymore
6- Opacity in brown lines in VFR Map reduced.
It helps to add Nvidia overlay to enhance sharpen and contrast such as the image below: @trgz @Fredvasse

Really impressed with the overall colour palette in the UK with the terrain mask and it makes me much more likely to use the fall season. However agreed that some of the textures lack detail, would be great if this could be improved - I look forward to trying out 1.2.

- Removed bright eucalyptus trees from southern hemisphere.
- Excess palm trees from parts of Florida removed.
- Updated Fall season trees in parts of North East USA.
Terrain Mask Version 1.2
- Water issue in Scandinavia fixed
- Upper section of Japan is now covered.
- Reduce brown colors from runways.
- Contrast enhanced.
- Terrain pattern is no longer visible from higher altitude; although it is still visible in VFR map.
Canada and Alaska and Asia will be covered in the following updates.
It was mentioned earlier there will be two separate version but it’s now combined into one version.

Is there a Winter N season? I purchased Fall N and would like to buy Winter now that its almost November but I only see Winter S in the marketplace

This is really impressive work! I’m using the terrain mask and so far so good. @bijanstudio , how much would you say texture sharpness is degraded in the newest version of the terrain mark (with increased contrast)? The shots posted by @trgz definitely show washed out shadows, but it should be better now? @trgz can you test the same location?
