Seat Position - Need ability to finely adjust

Could you please provide the ability the change vertical seat position similar to the horizontal zoom in and out. Adjusting the vertical seat level with the up and down arrows provides radical position change that results in too high or too low. We need the ability to finely adjust our seat level for each aircraft. It would also be nice to have each plane remember your last setting etc..

Not sure if this may help you, but there is a general slider in the menus for cockpit view vertical position. By changing it, you can raise the default pilot’s viewpoint for ALL aircraft

The default viewpoint is far too low in almost all aircraft and when compared with the 3D pilot model’s eye level in external camera, is usually quite far out. I’m sure it’s been done so you can read the main instruments without having to tilt the view down for non-TrackIR users etc. but I found it very frustrating at first. I was forever hitting the Space Bar to raise my seat (which is then reset once you switch to external and back to cockpit :rage:), but sometimes it was raised too much then.

The menu option to permanently raise the seat has been a lifesaver though - once I found it. Kudos to the developers for adding it in

Still, I agree that having an easier way to adjust and save the default position would be welcome, outside of editing the aircraft’s ‘cameras.cfg’ files which is likely possible.

Ezdok controls i would like!

I rather have Chaseplane for MSFS.

Thank you. I didn’t realize that slider was for the pilot seat. Thanks

You’re welcome, happy I could help. It is a bit hidden away in the menus and not very obvious.

Adding the ‘height’ slider to the in-game camera window (and renaming it) might be a better idea. Perhaps “pilot height” or “seat height”
I prefer the former since you aren’t moving the seat, so are simulating the pilot size

Maybe in future we will get it (I haven’t checked for news), it’s a great program. Though the default camera options are already far better in MSFS than in FSX, once you begin to get used to them. The Drone Camera with a controller (Xbox/PlayStation) is like the camera in ChasePlane - only without so many tweaks and easily saved presets.
