Hi Guys, got a new rig and installed MSFS and many mods. Scenery mods shows up in the World Map but in the Aircraft Selection, I only see 49 - 55 aircraft at max and most of these are Asobo aircraft. No matter how many additional aircraft mods I install on the hard drive I only see 3-4 of my own mods. I changed different install locations to experiment and the result is same. Anyone has had this problem or potential solutions would be much appreciated. Thanks,
Are you putting them in the community folder?
Moved to Tech Talk which is more appropriate whilst others help you troubleshoot ![]()
The mod I use in the community folder DA62X for the Asobo Diamond DA62 does not add a new aircraft in the hanger. I still see only the Diamond DA62, but I know that in the DA62 case, I will be flying the mod, not the Asobo version because the author of the mod superimposes a grey triangle over a corner of the image of the aircraft.
Maybe this is how it works with all the mods you have. New aircraft create additional aircraft in the hanger, but mods simply enhance the existing Asobo aircraft that was already there.
That is correct
Thank you, I will look into this. Doesn’t make sense for mods like HondaJet or concord which don’t have asobo equivalent.
Do you see the HondaJet and all your mods at the bottom of the list in the Content Manager? If not, maybe the sim is looking somewhere other than the Community folder that you are using for the mods?
That is a good idea. Only that if the sim is looking else where for another community folder, why a few of the mods in current community folder still shows up? I will look for another communicty folder in my rig.
I found out that the C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes folder had all 49 to 55 aircraft mods including asobo and mine. Any other mods not shown in the aircraft selection window in world map is not here. These aircraft in this folder had a folder named after the aircraft model and state.cfg in them. Working on fixing this now.
I checked content manager and they are at the bottom of the content manager and shows as installed.
