Seneca glideslope interception

The Seneca is currently a good bet for IFR in a GA aircraft, with a good avionics fit and a reasonable speed but I do find that it has its quirks, especially with interception of the glideslope on the ILS and of course it isnt easy on a GPS based approach either. Is it just for me, or is this a known issue? A quick search hasn’t thrown anything up and it is a pity for this phase of flight to be compromised in this way.

The autopilot can and will sometimes do some very strange things, so you do have to watch it.

Could you be more specific about what problem you are seeing?

Essentially Autopilot issues, but mainly that connected with interception of the ILS which is picked up easily enough, but the intercept itself in approach mode rarely if ever works for me and I end up flying a manual ILS. Also, big divergences in pitch when intercepting and occasionally topped off with an AP induced wing over, once followed by a swim in the Irish Sea.

The aircraft itself is OK and until the advent of the 310R, I think it remains the best long distance IFR cruiser in the GA spectrum.

It is a pity that this happens and I was wondering whether this is a local, I.e. my machine issue, or is known elsewhere.

Without more details, it’s impossible to offer any suggestions. But I haven’t noticed any problems that weren’t pilot induced regarding the auto pilot.

Is this an addon conflict?
Have you tried with an empty community folder?

I have actually, although it is only in the last ten days that I have used the Seneca again and am not 100% familiar with it and any native quirks which is where I start with the thread really. It isnt too critical as I can catch it mostly and complete the flight manually or divert if weather is too marginal.

If I am brutally honest, I suspect I might be parking it somewhere once the 310R arrives but I thank you both for your input and your time too.
