Separate road and ship traffic options from AI air traffic

Not many votes. I assume MS/Asobo will not react on it

All of these settings need to be separated. I notice when I turn Traffic Airport Quality off, then all ground vehicles disappear.

When I turn Traffic Airport Quality on, it has to be set to at least medium for all ground vehicles to appear and this results in too many static aircraft appearing. I would rather have the options like we had in FS2020.

Confirmed that built-in ships as well as BeyondATC and FSHud (using AIG models) traffic are still present with these settings while built-in air traffic is gone.

(The other topic in this thread–separate settings for airport ground vehicles and airport parked aircraft–doesn’t appear to be possible; it’s both or nothing with the Traffic Airport Quality setting. If there’s not already an individual thread for that, might be good to make one to vote on.)

Sound nice. What about Multiplayer and vehicles on airports?

This in the picture the traffic tab is no longer in the menu anymore,
as is to see in this picture

However in free flight condition under tab Airtraffic it mentioned aircraft and boat type
locations for air and marine traffic based on live data ( im not shure if this also include other type of vessels).

Than in market place under library tab, you are able to download or enable different ships,(also different animals can be enabled here) in the base content section.
Picture is an example there are many more so go thru the list and enable what you like

Using this “trick” also deactivates all Multiplayer air traffic, so it’s really not an option at all.

This needs to be tackled in the next patch, it’s quite literally a five minute job to separate these options from that checkbox.

While we’re at it, and as my standalone thread was deleted with a mod pointing me to this one, we also need the ability to toggle tags on sea traffic independent from air traffic. Like I do want tags on aircraft, especially multiplayer aircraft so i can see my mates, but i don’t need tags on every little pleasure vessel at the harbours. Just like appearance at all, these should not be bound to the same single options menu selection.

I don’t know about 5 minutes. I think it’s a little more complex than a quick fix.

But I don’t like any of these tricks. While they might be satisfactory for some in some situations, they are not satisfactory for all of us in all situations.

Therefore the only solution is to separate all of these settings like they are in MSFS 2020.

From my point of view, they will not implement it, because that’s only necessary for third party tools. I don’t think that MS/Asobo has interest in supporting any 3rd Party developer, which dosen’t sell inside Marketplace.

You can play this game completely vanilla and have an A-10 spawn in a parking spot for civilian airliners and ruin your day. Or completely occupied parking spots with surreal planes like unmarked MD10’s in small rural airports.

This NEEDS to be a thing. I think it was a thing in 2020, I can’t be bothered to reinstall to check it, but I’m 90% sure!

I’ve been trying without success to find a good middle ground between having dead airports and having all my parking spots taken by ugly AI aircraft, sadly this setting either makes the airports full of life AND full of garbage in parking spots, or completely dead with nice and clean parking spots.

I am using third party traffic injection because Microsoft decided to park A-10’s in parking spots of civilian airports, or MD10’s in small rural airports that barely accomodate a Pilatus PC-12.

This setting NEEDS to be separated, we should have:

  • Ground Airport Cars & Traffic
  • Ground Airport PLANES

At the very minimum.
We shouldn’t be forced to turn this off to have anything resembling a decent experience.

A little extra nice to have: an option to automatically despawn AI aircraft if you come within touching distance of them, so AT LEAST that can fix things a little.
