Good to see we have a date for the Dev Livestream!!
Sep 25 for the next devstream-yahoo!
Pretty weak again on the mp new products.
Darn, I’ll be unavailable on the 25th. Where’s the link to submit questions for it?
Just noticed the roadmap is gone?
Really looking forward to seeing development updates in the development updates again! <3
(I really feel like the development updates are underutilized, and even today there’s no actual information – just a note that there will be a livestream in three weeks. Which, okay, is in September as promised. But why aren’t you teasing us with new information every week?)
Yet again another VA Systems spam!
But hey, really looking forward to the Dev stream this month, HYPED!
VA Systems, VA Systems, VA Systems VA Syst…
I wonder what happened to the ATR update, if I remember from the stream Jorg said first week of September, this year: wink:
You are right. Jorg azt’s statement that MSFS 2024 will be the most serious, largest and most complex simulator. If there really are going to be such serious, feasible changes, fixes, and missions, then small videos and pictures should be published continuously showing them… Nothing. It’s a little over two months until release and we don’t know anything. I really miss that there is no information. He will share information at the end of September, which in my opinion is already very late… I have a feeling that this will not be a completely renewed simulator, rather the MSFS 2020 version will receive a major update. I’m really looking forward to it, and I thank the development team for their work.
Whilst I can’t confirm the release timescale for the ATR update at this exact moment (just in case it does change), rest assured that the ATR update is still very much going forward! We’ll provide any more information about the update when we’re able to do so.
Thanks
The MSFS Team
The degradation of the marketplace in the recent months with insane „quantity over quality“ flooding is really frustrating. Combined with the bad usability of the marketplace, it has become a real pain instead of joy.
Apart from that, buying something now with unclear support/additonal charge in FS2024 is pretty risky imho
Is there a tread to post questions for the September 25 Dev livestream ?
August in Europe is traditionally a month of holiday from work (or vacation time for us North Americans) right? It’s just barely September and one might imagine that even Asobo folks might take some holiday time off of work, despite the launch time line? All concerned are also dependent on GDK/SDK coming from the Xbox folks on the other side of the pond, as this was unresolved coming out of SU15 and pending for SU16, right? And so lots of loose goosey potentially affecting both time lines, frustrating developers and end users alike? Very likely we might see some “radio silence” while the unknowns sort out as folks return from holiday/vacation to figure out what is reasonable to accomplish and when to communicate that? Meanwhile, there is so much great stuff in the sim, both free to me and aftermarket, that I can hardly keep up with all of interest. Hope others are having fun flying what they have today that works; for my part, it is a LOT!
Regarding the ATR Jörg said it “should be ready in September”.
Hello @BoeingPilot8795,
In the August Developer Livestream, Jorg never said “first week of September”. Rather, his exact quote about the ATR update was that it “…should be ready in September. We don’t know exactly what date, but I talked to Hans just yesterday, I talked to the Art Director at Asobo, and they all feel like September is a completely do-able thing. We just don’t have a date yet.”
You can watch the video here (linked to the timestamp where Jorg discusses the ATR):
Thanks,
MSFS Team
Do we know if this will be released with AAU3, or are those two distinct releases?
