Lovely shots. MSFS2024 can be incredibly beautiful; with some distance, it is the best world representation on consumer computers. More and more, I see news agencies that used to use Google Earth using it.

I’m always impressed by what the rendering engine is capable of, too. Even though I spend a lot of time in the simulator, it still manages to surprise me with new lighting and color situations, and I just have to hit that screenshot button right away.
My first simulator was Sublogic II on the C64. When you look at such a long development journey from back then to where we are today, it’s sometimes hard to believe how far we’ve come. 
Indeed. It is a genre of games (sorry, simulations) that kept on improving with faster hardware. Other games seemed to have reached a point where improvements seem to be hard to make, but MSFS (and X-Plane) in 2026 look very different from the sims we used in 2016.

I am finding every single day that using Active Sky FS + Rex Atmos blows native live WX out of the water. Add DLSS5 to the mix and the results are incredible honestly.
I know that DLSS5 is a generic neural renderer (FOR NOW) but imagine the potential if we can get cloud masks and selectively modify those cloud lighting conditions as well as the airplane. It already looks incredible without such special effects using Active Sky FS + Rex Atmos.
