I’ve had this error for over 30 minutes:
I am I really the only one?
I’m not having the same issues. I successfully launched the sim and Xbox Insider hub.
A reboot fixed it. I should have done this in the first place.
Sometimes I like to embarrass myself pubically.

I had the exact same issue yesterday (1st post screenshot), reboot did not work. Same error message when logout/login from the Xbox app and after a couple of more intents I was able to loging to the Xbox app and then no issue starting the sim.
Thanks, you help me feel a little less foolish!

Seems to be a temporal glitch not with FS2024 but with the Xbox (or Microsoft) servers.
Just proved you are human, not an AI.
Just happened to me this afternoon and I’m not even currently on the Beta. Reboot hasn’t fixed it.
EDIT: I made the mistake of logging out of my XBox account on my PC with the intention of logging back in to see if that fixes it, and now I cannot log in. When I try to submit feedback, the Windows Feedback Hub thinks I’m not connected to the internet, despite very plainly being connected to the internet.
Jeez, some days it’s really hard to be a loyal customer.
Try logging out and back in to the MS Store.
If that doesn’t cure it you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the xbox app.
This is happening right now:
From: Microsoft service health status
Xbox Status page shows everything online, however.
EDIT:
Well, upon further examination that “Service degradation” pertains only to Teams, so that isn’t it.
Yeah, this is insanely frustrating. I uninstalled the XBox app with the intent of reinstalling but since I’m unable to access the MS Store now too, I can’t even do that. You have to laugh. Time to play DCS I guess.
So this is absolute stupidity. I can sign into my account on my actual XBox, and browse the Store through the console. I can go to any MS online site and login with my account. My account details show no issues with my account, full access to my purchase history, no unauthorized logins, nothing weird at all.
But I cannot login to my account in either the XBox app or MS Store app on my PC. In every instance I get a spurious complaint that I am not connected to the internet.I have tried all the variously-suggested “solutions” from Google, ranging from flushing DNS cache, changing DNS servers, resetting my network settings in Windows, resetting my router, and even tried tethering through my phone. It is NOT a networking or connection issue at all, as far as I can tell. I have run the XBox gaming services repair tool 3-4 times without finding any problems. I have used console commands to clear the Store cache, twice! I have restarted my PC at least 6-7 times throughout.
I am done for the night and assauging my unsatisfied urges to fly with bourbon right now, but if anyone has suggestions for me to try tomorrow that do not fit into the categories above, I’m all ears.
It’s so strange, because after my initial issue, I have shutdown/restart my PC and/or quit/relaunched the sim multiple times with no further drama.
I wonder what this is.
You and me both, brother. Everything was working fine when I shutdown my PC last night.
This spurious login error about requiring an internet connection is not unheard of. If you search online, there are reports going back literally years, although it’s new to me. Every claimed remedy involves the stuff I’ve already tried, mostly networking settings or Gaming Services repair. So at this point I am at a loss.
My Personal Comment & Observation
FYI, maybe related, maybe not:
Those all show in my Settings —> Apps under the installation history list. They were automagically installed in the background, evidently. Of course, now that I cannot log into either the Store or XBox app, I can no longer access updates for any of those things, nor any of my Store purchases (including MSFS of course).
