Is anybody else having trouble starting up MSFS today? I have just gone to load up, albeit after around a week off it and it gets to the ‘castle’ screen page before telling me it cannot connect to the servers, followed by the XB ‘welcome back’ - ‘let’s play’ box
The only things I have done since my last session a week ago is installing self-loading cargo and FSUIPC 7
Did you buy FS2020 from the MS store (which i’m guessing is the case) or Steam?
Store. I am also on the latest version of windows 21H1
Brilliant, so I uninstall MSFS, remove the community and officials folders. Install the 1.5gb installer again through MS store and it still does the same thing.
Can you screenshot the screen you’re getting stuck on?
On the first screen, that XB dialogue box only appears for a second but I have never seen it before. The rest repeat in sequence

When you next start MSFS, and get that xbox popup, click anywhere on the sim and press Alt+Enter to switch to windowed mode. You should then be able to find an xbox sign in window that may currently be hidden behind the full screen sim.
If you haven’t already got it, some users report getting the xbox app helps with account sync issues.
If you have xbox app: close MSFS, sign out of xbox app & MS Store, reboot your PC, sign back into MS Store, sign back into xbox app and launch MSFS from there.
If you don’t have the xbox app: install the xbox app, sign in and launch MSFS from there
Well, uninstalling the entire thing may have been a bit knee jerk.
I had the xbox App so uninstalled it, reinstalled it and it is now at least allowing me to download the 90GB core game. So we will see in a few hours how it goes.
