still experiencing problems. Earlier the message was that i wasnt connected to the internet, when i was. Now I get this message when i try to open the sim…
Tried to reboot your PC?
yeah ive restarted it probably 10 times at least. i guess that the best thing to do is just to wait.
Assuming you bought it from the Store I’d try to start the Sim from there. But before I say something stupid it might be better to wait.
yeah ive tried starting it from everywhere i could think of.
This reminds me of an issue Apple had a little while ago - every time you launch an app on macOS, the OS (Gatekeeper) sends the app’s signature to be be verified to an Apple server - but that server went down and nobody could launch any app on macOS for part of a day. There is now a more graceful launch in case of timeout or server offline.
Business as usual again here at west coast USA connecting to US West server.
All good here for Asia server. All normal as of 0400Z.
This is now recovered !
I still have this problem by loading the flight.
Loads and works normal. Europe Server. Greetings from Rotterdam, The Netherlands
UK loads no problem at all
Switzerland: No problems, everything fine
Can anyone from MS say what caused the outage? Was it a server update? A certificate expiry? DNS? Fixed?
This doesn’t appear to be fixed yet. And as far as I can tell, the team (whether that be Microsoft or Asobo) hasn’t provided an update.
It’s probably just a coincidence, but I removed the AIG temp folder and then I was able to get in, after several failed attempts. Not sure if there’s a true correlation here or not.
Started the sim up this morning, and it appears to be working as it should
I found that turning off the computer, and stopping to eat Dinner, did it for me after which, MSFS loaded successfully.
No more CTDs ( Craving - To-eat - Dinner)
May also be a Coincidence ?
Recently Canada’s 2nd largest telecom provider (Rogers) went entirely offline for a day because of a bad software update to some core routers. And I mean entirely offline, telephone, internet, tv services, and people couldn’t dial 911 (emergency services), banks couldn’t process transactions, hospitals had to reschedule procedures. Wondering if cause is similar here…
