Would anyone be able to tell my how to use the shift+alt+x keyboard shortcut to set the com1 standby frequency. When i press all three nothing seems to happen. What would i be missing. Any help greatly appreciated. I guess i was thinkin you would use this to enter the frequency with the keyboard?
Doesn’t do anything for me, either. I don’t think they’ve ever explained exacly what this (and other similar controls) are meant to do.
Once you’re flying, I haven’t found any input where you can use the keyboard to type in a number or text. I suppose they try to get as close as possible to real life, so duplicate turning the knobs instead. Of course, using ATC and (and probably the correct assist settings), the tuning is all automatic once you respond to ATC, or select an option.
That’s my assumption as well. Turning the knobs can be a bit tricky at times and time consuming if you do not want to use auto response to ATC.
This would be a great place to add a mod. I’d like to be able to add all the local frequencies into a list and click down then as I get handover.
Without a copilot, this is tedious, slow and finicky.
Are there any further programmers out there who could write a mod to assist with this?
