Hi
Ive just realised that each time im starting the game its not keeping the settings from previous games, it asks me to to set my graphic settings, controls,etc on the welcome screens each time. I also noticed even though i had done all the tutorials it was set to 0/8. I tried one and then it went to 1/8 so its not saving any of my data.
Any ideas?

I hope you clicked ‘apply’ each time you were changing anything.
of course, well pressing next anyway. thing is i`m logged into my account but everytime i restart all my flight time, badges,etc are reset. Achivements are the only thing that are being recorded.
This only ever happened to me when the game crashed rather than shutting down clean. Set all of your settings then exit the game via the main menu, relaunch and see if your settings were saved.
no it’s not that unfortunately, have played about 5 times and each time I quit normally.
I tried looking for the save files but couldn’t find anything. only a map cache in appdata folder. wondered if it was some kind of permission problem.

I tried uninstalling the whole lot, and let it download the entire thing again. but still nothing is getting saved. i can see the config files in localcache are getting updated.

these change but something is ignoring the fact that i`ve done this and any in game progression is just lost when it restarts.
Spent two hours today on this. Discovered that the settings seem to be saved online via the xbox settings. I tried everything,
uninstalling xbox apps
stopping and starting xbox services
logging in and out of my xbox account.
So giving up for now, hopefully they will fix it sometime soon.
Suffering from same issue and having to reset every setting each start up including settings for my yoke which it acknowledge it see’s but does not load the default settings for. Back to X-Plane till this gets solved
Fixed it. I`ve created a new windows user login, reinstalled the entire game on a different drive (I copied the huge onestore to a temp folder),
Omg, that really sucks. I have the same issue, just after i newly installed it today… Spent hours on this BS. Really feel like uninstalling this thing permanently right now.

Yeah even on the latest i can only play on an alternative login which isnt ideal. Have reported it to support who are supposed to be putting it down as a bug. Suggest you also report.
Yes, i have reported it, but haven’t heard back. Guess I’ll have to report it again…
As long as there are no study-level aircraft like the VRS F-18 available in MSFS I won’'t be in any hurry…
finally fixed my issue.
run this program in safe mode, let it clean with default settings or repair permissions,etc.
when it’s done I could then log in to my account and all the progress was there. finally can play it properly.
I had two engineers from Microsoft looking into it before, they couldn’t fix it , i just came across this by chance.
Thank you for breaking my pc with your ‘solution’. This program ruined my Windows and now I can clean install…
