Settings Specific Category - Good idea but needs opening up to include General and Aircraft specifics

The Settings Specific category seems to be an excellent idea in principle but I fear that the developers have missed a trick in that it may be that you wish to map a control setting for one or two particular controls for a particular aircraft (e.g. cowl flaps for the Magni 24’s simulation of pre-rotator) . Currently - as I understand it at least - you would have to make a specific aircraft Control profile for the Magni when what you really want to do is make a Specific profile which contains some General or Control aircraft specifics. That would imply a potentially huge list of ‘cluttering’ and otherwise unnecessary Control and General profiles. So suggest that this feature is considered for inclusion in the development stream.

The issue is being able to apply them to Specific. General and Airplanes are only selectable in General and Airplane control profiles respectively, they don’t show in Specific for selection. In the Magni instance for example, it uses cowl flaps (to set pre-rotator) But the only place to select that is in Airplanes so you cannot make it specific in Magni without making an Airplanes . The basic point is that some general and airplanes mappings will be specific to a particular aircraft. What is the point of the Specific controls if you cannot map them in the Specific controls profile. You cannot ‘add those you want’ because they are not listed for addition in the ‘Specific’ profile dialogue…. there are very very few Specific assignments available. So the only way to do it now is to add an Airplanes profile and (and perhaps a General profile) which only apply to the Magni - This might be needed for a good number of aircraft so you would end up with a large number of General and Airplanes profiles which have to be created simply to hold these few Airplanes / General mappings when they should be included in the Magni’s single (Specific) profile.
