I own the PC version on a gaming pc of one year old, running windows 11. I have the Premium De Luxe edition, bought from MS Store in August 2020 . About half a year ago (I ran win10 than) I started encountering problems when I wanted to add a waypoint between departure and arrival. Adding was impossible (using world map). But sometimes it did workt out well. I have not a clue why and when. I was not the only one.
This morning I tried rigouresly following this turorial FS2020: Back To Basics With MSFS: Part 2 - Basic Auto-Pilot Procedures - YouTube .
I could not set the arrival runway to Orly rwy 24. Only rwy 25 was possible.
After that I tried learning to use the G1000 Nxi (latest) in the same tutorial, but I could not quit the procedure that set the map to North up. I succeeded earlier, the north was up, but had trouble with how to use the mouse in the Nxi. So wanted to do the full tutorial.
I updated the game with every update and checked for updates in MS store as well.
There I noticed something strange. There were two items for MSFS in the update list.
One named Digital Ownership by Xbox gamestudio’s, last updated 27/8/2020. It said I could open it (openen in Dutch)
And
One named MS Flight Simulator Premium de Luxe, also by Xbox gamestudio’s, bought on 23/8/2020 It said to install it using the xbox app
Why does it mention the xbox game studios, while my version is bought in august 2020 en is developped by Asobo (as mentioned every time I start the game). Can it be that I installed updates for the xbox instead of the PC? I cannot imagine that that is the case, but as said, I’m confused by now.
I am very confused, hate reinstalling because you never know what goes wrong, but do not know how else I get it all running again.
Please advise me, perhaps there is something else wrong, perhaps I do need to reinstall. Does everyone have these xbox games items in the microsoft store update list? If reinstalling is advised so, what exactly should I do, what about the communities folder with Juncker and DC6 and some more toys?
Thanks for reading.
