I Just released my Salt Lake air race course and have a few idea’s already for other courses, but thought I’d see if there was anywhere others can think of or would like to see an air race that haven’t already been done.
I don’t promise to make them but will definitely consider them
Please list up to 10 locations and keep them in 1 post so easier to look through.
I’ll do a list! Gimme a few days to think about it and see if I can recall locations I’ve been to that had some good features. Wish my memory was better
(Nearest airport = LIPZ or LIPV)
Following the course of the Grand Canal and taking in other key landmarks such as the San Marco Piazza tower (turn around it as switchback).
(Nearest airport = LSZC)
Maybe going around nearest part of the lake in foreground and to the far low peak in centre of screenshot, around that and back. Beautiful terrain in every direction here though!
(Nearest airport = Kaluapapa PHLU)
Diving down into some of these gorges. Also use the idea with the slightly bigger floating rings as waypoints (not on the ground).
In fact there are interesting dips like this all over all the Hawaiian islands!
6. Papua New Guinea
(Nearest airport = Kabwumi AYKB / KBM)
Track around this “natural bowl” by this airport in the east of PNG. Or really anything in PNG will be stunning!
(Nearest airport = YBCG)
Weave through skyscrapers in the city. They are nicely spaced to not be too close - make a slalom between them looping around. Maybe out to Burleigh Head National Park as a turning point.
(Nearest airport = Gibraltar LXGB)
Fly close to / over / around the rock. Could stretch out to over the town at the north or around the bay a bit (but not too far to be boring).
(Nearest airport = UT25)
I see you already did a VERY LONG track here for the Orbx Fun With Friends, but I mean something shorter and just going tight slaloms around the pillars, but a bit higher up in the air with bigger “rings” to go through - not on the ground like the current one. Eagle Mesa as one end and taking in those close thin pillars, with some low sweeping switchbacks around rocks and pillars. Would need colliders too.
