Another VR noob enters the room…
So reading through this with interest. I’m on a Q3 using VD with SSW. Currently using Riva to lock at 40 and set the VD setting to 80Hz. On the whole it’s great like this unless I’m flying very fast let’s low over heavy scenery. But that’s another issue lol
Am I right that according to the posts above I would be better with 120Hz in VD (1/3rd is still 40)? Can the SSW deal with this interpolation? It doesn’t make sense to me that it would need to generate 2 of every 3 real frames and how that could possibly end up better, but here I am asking for knowledge.
Side note: I get this warning from VD when I boot the PC since installing Riva.
But as you may have seen from some of my other posts here recently, using Riva is the actual thing that has given me the experience I need/expected. Everything without that is jank.
I guess this can be ignored? I mean, it works. And apparently Riva is better (consistent / tighter cap) than using Nvidia Profile Inspector?
