Should I delete the partial .fspatch and .fspackage files when installing?

This install has been a total nightmare so far.

I am truly wondering if it makes it easier or harder to install this game by deleting all the partial .fspatch and .fspackage files.

I guess it depends if the Installation Manager is able to resume a partial file, or if it just makes the install harder to leave partial files.

Does anyone know the answer to this? It would make it a lot easier for me to have the right answer to this question, thanks.

The only time I advocate deleting those is when you’re trying to install and update and you end up in a download loop. If you’re trying to install the sim itself, and you’re seeing the progress bar go backwards, then you’re also in that loop. Those compressed files, for whatever reason, can’t be processed correctly during the install, so the sim tries to start over with whatever package it’s on. If this is happening, close the sim, delete everything that’s not a folder inside the Official folder, then restart. You may have to do this more than once, but it will eventually finish.

Thanks, the installation is behaving very strangely though.

The looping download problem does seem to be solved be either leaving it and doing nothing or deleting the partials and restarting.

However, I am having a much bigger problem though, which is I am losing almost all the download progress I make after a session.

For instance, I downloaded 12 files tonight for 5 GB, and when I restarted later only 7 small files were kept and the 4 large files have disappeared completely and it made almost no progress, almost nothing was gained.

This has happened several times, it always loses the big files it downloads.

If this keeps happening, there is no way I will be able to successfully install this, I badly need some help and advice, thanks!
