The marchetti 205 got an update and since then you always get an engine malfunction in every career mission. Thrust and Propeller RPM are insane wrong. Behaves like a rocket huge bug there
Anyone using the S.205 in VR?
Since the update to make it compatible with FS2024, I’ve noticed a blurry effect on the windshield and side windows. When I get closer to the glass, I notice a texture, as if they were frozen, but it’s the same in summer, on the ground. The problem is also noticeable in non-VR but it is less noticeable.
I sent an email to the developer but after more than a week I still haven’t received any response.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Nemeth Design customer service says I’m the only one having this problem and that it depends on the quality of my VR headset (HP Reverb G2). However, the screenshot posted here was taken from my monitor… could that be defective too? It’s strange that it only happens with the S.205.
Tried this plane in career mode (2025-08-10 SIAI/MARCHETTI S205 v2.0.3), bit of a dumpster fire. It literally took off with the throttle at idle, ground handling was a mess (since it is nearly at full throttle all the time), and it burns out the engine unless you leave the throttle at no more than about 10% forward (again, this is in career mode). As others said, the Prop control seems to be almost non-functional. And the flight model is kind of awkward but not as bad as the Partenavia P68B Victor by the same creator – but it just does not fly right (energy management is all wrong, maybe partly because of the throttle issue). The sound is very low-end.
I had issues with EFB Flight Plan integration to the 430 (but it did work in one case). The 430 NAV1 radio would not activate so I could only use NAV2. Scroll wheel on NAV2 freq dials is backwards. The HSI doesn’t seem to work in GPS mode, couldn’t test VOR/ILS due to inability to change the radio frequency.
I had issue with the autopilot – the first time I used it, it worked fine. After that I couldn’t get it to hold a new heading, I think it wanted to turn back to that first heading hold – could be a skill issue so not holding that against it yet.
The DME seems to be broken, it was giving me a KT readout but not a distance (GPS mode).
Normal Magneto controller mapping doesn’t work and it doesn’t have any custom controls at all (in controller settings).

If you tell customer support this, they’ll likely tell you you’re the only one and the problem is your MSFS2024 installation.
How do you see through windshields? Do you notice any distortion when you get close to the glass?
Most likely because you’re using version 2.0.3, while the Nemeth Design website only lists v2.0.2.
I don’t understand why they don’t update their website as well…
Frankly, even after the responses I received from them and, above all, their indifference, I feel like they’ve been fooled.
One thing’s for sure: they won’t have my money anymore.

Agree the 205 is unusable and I paid money for it
Besides the blurry Effect in VR ( I only have it on the side windows) there are two major problems. The first one only applies to someone (like me) who bought the plane for 2024 career mode as soon as it was released for it. Back than the only specialisation you could use ist for was flightseeing. I liked the plane although you had to fly with care because everything on this plane seems to be a little bit brittle. So you easy can have an engine or landing gear failure when not handeling it perfectly.
Than came the last update and the specialisation changed from flightseeing to VIP Charter. So the plane could no longer be purchased or flown in flightseeing missions. Passive income no problem. But no flying it yourself. So I bought another one for my VIP Company but now the engine system now is so broken that I can not do any takeoff without having a engine failure right after I´m airborne. And trust me I started with so low RPM that I used the whole runway on a realy big airport.
I had a lot of planes from Nemet Designs and all had there flaws but overall were usabel and fun to fly. But not this one any longer. What bugs me furthermore is that I worte emails about the bugs I found in each plane. After the third plane (bugreport) the support stops responding to me.

Same happens to me. They stop answering. I sent them very detailed test reports. It is ashame
Yes, yes, the defect is more noticeable on the side windows because they’re closer to the observation point. If you get closer, you’ll notice it gets worse. The same goes for the windshield, which is barely noticeable because it’s far away.
The engine problems are also very serious, and I don’t understand Nemeth Design’s attitude… I don’t even understand why Asobo commissioned Nemeth for the new local legend.
Yeah, the way the new Local Legend does not work Asobo could as well put a new Make Good aircraft in the queue. No fuel after 30 Min of flight … tsts
