Hello,
can anyone tell me how to sign into MSFS 2024 with a local account? I don’t wish to set up a PIN but appear unable to access the sim without one.

This isn’t possible.
I fear that may be the case. Should it prove so I’ll switch my gaming rig to linux like I have already done with the other pc’s. There’s always X-Plane! I’ve put a large amount of money into FS24 but I find MS’s moves toward invasive AI repulsive enough to abandon MS for good. I may be an early mover in that respect but I will be far from the last to do so.
I’ve got MSFS installed on a local Windows account. In both the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store app I’m signed in with my Microsoft account.
Are you struggling to actually type your details into the box? ie it wont let you physically enter your details?
If so I know a way. But if it is about a PIN then you should not need one. Just an account.
Thanks for the replies, I went with Linux in the end. Done with MS. Each to their own, I just had enough of the direction MS are going with Windows 11.
The whole copilot ‘AI companion’ bs they’re pushing just turned me off them. If I want companionship I’ll chat to an actual human friend ![]()
It’s pretty clear what they actually want is client side scanning with AI. You don’t need to have something to hide to want privacy! They don’t seem to be respecting that, it’s not really a difficult concept, it’ll eventually bite them in the as&.
