SILENT RUNNING
Join us on a very special event. Instead of relying on high powered engines we will work with the environment to keep our aircraft at altitude. We are going on a soaring trip through the French Alps!
Let’s start this off with a great quote from an unknown source:
“If flying were the language of man - soaring would be its poetry!”
You could say the beauty of soaring lies in its simplicity. This is, however, limited to the technical aspects like airframes and instrumentation. Just how complex soaring can actually be becomes obvious once you sit in the cockpit, continuously descending and desperately trying to find that little bit of additional lift to keep yourself from unintentionally landing. But only once you lived through the hardships you will learn to fully appreciate the satisfaction of finally getting it right, finding lift when you need it the most. When you make it past the initial frustration, soaring will become an incredibly rewarding experience.
Our route will be a laid-back trip to enjoy the Alps and learn some soaring basics. If you ever wanted to learn soaring or if you find yourself really enjoying this flight it might be the start of a wonderful journey, leading you deeper into the world of unpowered aircraft.
