Sim crashes when opening Hardware Settings for Tobii Eye Tracker

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Opening the “Hardware settings” dialog for Tobii Eye Tracker leads to consistent CTD for me.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
No.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
No.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time I open the dialog.

  1. Open Settings
  2. Open Controls
  3. Select Tobii Eye Tracker
  4. Click on Hardware settings

Seems to be doing the same for me - with any control profile. Once you try to create a new profile - CTD

Tobii Eye Tracker implementation for MSFS 2024 has not been completed yet. This issue has been previously reported with respect to the retail version as well. There are several official and unofficial workarounds that have been published on this forum and elsewhere. Even if you could open the hardware settings without CTDs, there is nothing there yet to adjust. So any adjustments you may want to make have to made outside of the game by manually changing the parameters in the Tobii XML file or using the official workaround I linked above here.

• This is a regression. This CTD issue was fixed already end of last year: FS2024 CTD when adjusting Tobii Eye Tracker curves
And as the other users in this thread have already mentioned, the issue described in this topic has nothing to do with this problem: Tobii cant change curves

Le Tobii fonctionne parfaitement sous MSFS 2024, il faut juste modifier certaines données avec Notepad ou bloc Note pour infos, fonctionne voir mieux que sous FS2020

For once, can we not spam a Tobii bug report forum topic with “there are alternatives and workarounds”? Especially when the forum topic has nothing to do with it at all? This topic is about the settings page causing CTDs in the latest beta version. For the curves and alternative solutions we have existing topics already: Tobii cant change curves
