ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: sim freeze while flying. In the task manager status says not responding.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Tested it four times and happened all four times

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Loaded in to the free flight with live weather.

  2. Took off without any issues

  3. At some point mid flight, everything freezes up

What peripherals are you using:

Saitek x56 hotas and sick

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

Using x4 multi frame rate generation.

Limited fps to 60.

Which aircraft did you choose?
From which airport and runway did you take off?
And exactly where were you flying to?

Also, it would be helpful if you could provide the flight plan.

I am in msfs2024 su4 beta latest build and my sim is freezing randomly. Only solution is to cloase everything with ctrl alt del. I never had this problem. It started 2 days ago with the latest su4 build or the latest nvidia driver update? I am on a 4070ti on 481.29.

Anyone else having this problem? Is this a msfs2024 beta problem?

I am not getting any error or ctd so can’t find anything in event log.

I just did a few hours flight around Alaska in the nxcub. Everything fine taking off and climbing to cruise but a hour or so later experienced tiny little freezes throughout the rest of the flight, right upto taxiing. I wouldn’t call them stutters, just tiny freezes

Same problem here. I tried everything. MSFS 2024 freezes completely (sound still on but no movement or anything, fsrealistic disconnects, same for vpilot). Here what I did:

  1. Removed overclocking
  2. Clear all caches: MSFS 2024’s ones, Rolling, Nvidia, and DirectX
  3. Update my BIOS with latest version

I still got these with SU4, either at the beginning of the flight or within the first hour. It’s really annoying and really can’t find what is causing this. The only succesful flight I had was post deleting cloud sync, I suspect an issue coming from this.

Ok. i rolled back to su3 to test it. Just to be sure it’s not my pc. Hope it will be solved in the next build

Did the same. Had to uninstall though MSFS 2024, as core files needs to be changed.

Been able to fly without any issue by reverting back to SU3 1.5.27.0.

Will follow with next SU4 builds.

I’ve been able to fly ZRH-BRU-DUB-ZRH without any freeze. It confirms the hypothesis that Sim Update 4 is creating these freezes. Finger crossed, maybe next builds will fix it.

I am on approach to Porto from EBCI. after almost 3hr. No freeze…

for me, SU4 beta is freezing randomly, first i thought it was Ini a350’s problem (the sim froze every time i pressed TOCONFIG or ECAM CLR via a sim connect event, but then it also crashed on finals of course, in the fenix. Also, audio stutters are crazy sometimes.

Now im stuck either with Su3 with its abysmal performance, or Su4 beta which is totally unstable

9950x3d/5090.

funny thing, su4 beta works just fine for my friend with an intel cpu (not using any custom bindings tho)

update from my side - it has something to do with simconnect. Surefire way to invoke the crash is to send a simconnect event related to TOCONFIG in ini a350 ( B:AIRLINER_ECAM_TO_CONFIG_PUSH). Just pressing TOCONFIG with the mouse does not induce crashing

Same thing about ECAM CLR (although this happens randomly). I believe Fenix crashed when i invoked the baro knob press event

The 2 crashes you are reporting is with 3rd party products - can you reproduce with default aircraft as well?

myself personally, i dont fly default aircraft, but some people were reporting crashes when using default GA aircraft GPS bindings via simconnect

i use ga aircraft and simconnect with spad.next for gps controlls and yes i get full freeze mid flight everytime no matter where i fly out from. freeze with sound no movement or ctd so i cant get forsure ino either

Hi guys,

Could you confirm that you are as well using FSRealistics ?

I had reply from somebody having the exact same computer as me and he never had any freezes. He is not using FSRealistics whereas I am and this is the only discrepency we had.

I tried the following:

  1. Shutdown FS REalistics
  2. Change USB ports over every peripherals (thrust, joystick and rudders)
  3. Fixe frame rates to 60 and use DLSS 4x

I’ve been able to fly ZRH-NCE-GVA-NCE-ZRH without any problem with SU4.

I am indeed using fsrealistic… It can be the reason why it’s a RANDOM crash… It’s just when fsrealistic is coming in with something… Hmmm something to try :slight_smile:
