After months of great VR operation interesting problem has arisen. Loading the sim (before selecting VR) put headset in place and sim freezes. Remove headset and sim continues to load, replace and large yellow elipse appears in headset view with exclamation mark. If the sim actually reaches the runway and VR Mode it continually freezes requiring headset removal to unfreeze making flying in VR impossible. My only thought is there was an Oculus update a few days ago. Or possibly my cable has internal damage. Any thoughts welcome. So miss VR

The issue may be coming from the new mobile ASW feature (frame rate insurance) that was added recently.
Check to see that it’s disabled in the Oculus Debug Tool (it’s towards the bottom, near Link sharpening).

Thanks for your reply Delta. Prior to that Did full reinstall of Oculus Software. Some improvement got as far as take off before freezing. After playing with headset managed smooth Flight. Now disabled ASW but problem worse again. New cable arriving today so watch this space!
Moving on. Fitted new cable - no better. Tried ASW and Link sharpening in all settings no improvement. Cant get the oculus support page to work. That tells me something! enough for one day.
Oculus runs oculus apps in VR Faultlessly. Beginning to think this might be a Microsoft problem.
i had the same problem that was my fix
go to task manager in detail and search for ovr64… exe ,right click ,set priority, realtime.
you can also set priority for msfs if its still laggin
