Sim needs more zombies

I mostly fly low and slow in ultralights, and from a couple hundred feet you see pretty much a post apocalyptic world - buildings missing, melted, burned down, flattened, covered with vegetation and trees - bridges missing, underwater, collapsed – boats and ships sunk or covered with vegetation and trees - roads blocked or obscured with overgrown vegetation, trees – deserted towns and cities with a few road vehicles, airport vehicles driven by mindless zombies – no reliable, competent or sensible ATC – utility towers with no wires – most antenna towers gone - deserted farms and ranches, no tractors in the fields, no livestock, no fences around the pastures, no silos.

So if some third party developer could place a few herds of wandering zombies in the fields, you could have a lot of fun flying low and slow from survivor camps searching for threats to you community, earn points for every zombie herd you find.

Very funny
Thank you

The ground crews at airports pretty much already shamble around like zombies. Just max out the ground personnel slider, and there you go. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s all true. The photogrammetry folks really need to revisit their tech and the bing folks really need to sort out the base content that it’s made from.

Regarding the vegetation. I have started to wonder whether the tree’s covering everything was maybe the algorithm trying to hide it’s mistakes out of embarrassment.

You are right though. If you role play it as a post apocalyptic wasteland then it’s actually pretty well done.

Have you seen the screenshots of the ground crew with their sunglasses removed?

Zombies: :white_check_mark:

Indeed I have. Those lifeless eyes. It’s what inspired my original comment. :stuck_out_tongue:

Those of us familiar with using flight sims can understand this and have fun joking about it.

Problem is your average Xbox user is going to see these things as another bugged out cyberpunk type mess and move on quickly. Problem for us is if it flops on Xbox MS will likely move on quickly also.

Found a few more oddities in the sim scenery

-Long shacks built directly on four lane highways, obviously the remains of broken down trucks and tractor trailers, particular numerous in the western US

-elevation peculiarities on some roads, 70 or 80 percent dips and grades, must have been landslides due to lack of maintenance

-broken down trains rusting along the tracks, some burned to the ground

-fencing around airport perimeters long since collapsed, probably by marauding zombies

again. however, I find all of this amusing, even intriguing, rather than in any way bothersome. Flight sim scenery is on a par with some games specifically intended as a zombie wasteland. Rather than just a few hundred square kilometers, the flight sim gives us an entire world to roam around in imaginative ventures.

Yep the ground crew is seriously creepy. The first option I looked for (and couldn’t find) was to remove them. Does anyone else think it is also unbelievable that to start most flights you have to first basically slice through the ground crew with your propeller? I though that was an interesting choice by MSFS. “Let’s have every flight start with the plane’s propeller slicing through the ground crew. Great idea.”
At first I used to try to go around the man standing directly in front of my plane, but after awhile I decided that if he wasn’t moving I’m going through him.

Speaking of Zombies…I think the co-pilots are also creepy. I would rather have a pretend co-pilot than a wax zombie.
Shooting an IFR approach is difficult enough already without also having to fight off a cockpit zombie.

so yeah, we need to come up with a utility that moves all these ground crew and copilots and what else out into the fields with they can wander around to the creepy heart’s content

Good one!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

FS world is a scary place…
