Sim Racing Studio U-Shake 6

Hi All,

Has anyone tried the Sim Racing Studio U-Shake6 with MSFS?

I’m seriously thinking about getting one to help with the immersion, and want to see what people think of it. While I do have a steering wheel for some Sim Racing, I mainly want it for MSFS. Do you know if it’s compatible with all games (albeit, I’d imagine you have to play with the settings if there is no profile?)

Anyway, comments?

Hi there,
We ask that people use the Hardware & Peripherals category for any questions you may have. I have moved your topic.

As for this product, I haven’t seen anyone talking about it. A lot of people use Buttkickers. But hopefully someone out there has used it.

Looks interesting but not cheap, especially for uk buyers with the extra cost of shipping of $85. Even with the current discount from SRS I would be looking at $514 with a chance maybe (???) also of additional import duties. I think also we would have to pay an additional 20% for UK VAT too although since I have not looked into this in any great detail I could easily be mistaken here.

For me in the UK, for these reasons and the ‘hassle factor’, I would give this product a miss.

For simmers placed in other locations though it could be a different story. Although more expensive than a Buttkkicker you seem to get 6 transducers and 6 separate channels compared with (I think) 1 channel/1 transducer with the Buttkicker. Therefore, presumably, you should get a much better haptic experience.

I’m not sure though if you also have to stick with using the SRS haptic software or if you could also use, say, Andre’s Aviator software. I have both and, personally, for flight sim (not car racing though) I prefer Andre’s software.

Just a few thoughts here of my own. Very interesting but not for me :slightly_smiling_face:

This looks very similar to what’s known as ‘Andre’s JetSeat’ that’s been around for quite awhile. That one already works with MSFS via the SimShaker app. I’ve had two over the years, but no longer use them as they’re just frankly uncomfortable to sit on. The seat has padding around the transducers but no matter how I position myself, I can still feel them.

In addition to that, unless you want to feel engine vibration or simulated g-forces — both of which I found annoying over time and disabled — there’s simply not much else that you’ll feel.

That was my experience with the JetSeat in DCS and MSFS and why I gave up using it, but I know many sim pilots love them.

3 buttkickers or 3transducers of choice will work much better than this thing. You want the vibrations on your controllers not all on the seat.

I own it and it was a very disapointing experience. The hardware itself is good quality and well designed, but the effects are all designed for race cars… even in “flight mode”. For now the flight mode settings in SRS look like a placeholder and do nothing special. Only 2 effects are usable in flight mode, engine and vertical G (others are just irrelevant for a plane). Engine currently plays recordings of high RPM race cars… completely unexpected for a jet or even low RPM prop plane… I didn’t find a way to change this, but hope it will be improved in the future. Vertical G vibration is kind of OK on the ground… but again completely unexpected in flight. For now I disbled all effects, waiting for a SRS software upgrade. Right now it is really a scam to advertise this for flights, but probably great for car simulation.

Yes … following on from my post above I have found SRS software usable for flight sim (supposed to be very good for car racing though) but Andre’s Aviator software much better for MSFS 2020.

Maybe explore if you can use the SRS hardware with Andre’s software? Just a thought :slightly_smiling_face:

Has there been any improvements WRT flight since December? I’ve seen a couple of decent reviews on YouTube. Also wondering if there is support for rotary and jet engines.

I assume you have all seen the much more reasonably priced HF8 haptic seat by Next Level Racing?

I got one recently and pretty happy with it. There is a thread about it on the forum:

Not the best advertisement in that link. Lololol.

Hahah good point. I should have linked to a lower post instead of the top one. They have since released an update to their software, so it works fine now (well, it does for me anyway and as per the “Solution” on post 1, their own software is not the ONLY option).

Worth reading the whole thread anyway. It’s not that long
