Lots of people asking about this. The clock is the sim rate indicator. It speeds up and slows down 
Cute But we want a watch telling us how fast/slow it is compared to our regular watches
Or better yet - a message somewhere in the game, you know - similar to good old days, where we had fancy kilograms and hectopascals as well
