I’m having an issue where every time I load the sim, it’s like it’s my first time and all my settings have reset, and I have to spend 10 mins getting it back to how I want it, it also resets my logbook to 0 hours but I’m not bothered as I use external programs. Does anyone know how to stop this happening
If you purchased it on MS-Store, go there and see if you have pending updates to the Gaming Services app. This was a recent symptom of that.

I saw a workaround once that you could set your UserCfg.opt file to read-only, but that may cause problems down the road when the next update hits. That would theoretically lock your settings though. The file is normally in:
C:\Users\YOUR LOCAL PC WINDOWS USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator

There was an XBox Services outage last night that was affecting people’s settings/profiles, but I’m guessing your problems started before that.
In either case, if you feel comfortable about it, try logging out of the Xbox account the next time you’re in the game at Main Menu - upper right your Xbox Gamer Tag name should be there. Restart the sim and it should prompt you to log back in. Just be sure you know your password and the recovery e-mail account is accessible to you in case things go pear-shaped.
