I don’t know how labor intensive this would be, but …
Across different developers we have many of the planes used to do the basic training in the aeronautica militare. It would be amazing having a career mode where missions like FSacademy take you through all the missions required by an allievo to get to wherever credible (I don’t know how much weapons are needed etc etc)
Just my two pence, not necessarily a commercially viable idea
Thanks for this release. The RealAir SF-260 was my favorite plane to fly in FSX and I’ve been anxiously awaiting someone to release a good version for FS2020. I’m very pleased with it.
We are happy and proud to show you this video of the new training simulator that will soon be adopted by the Italian Air Force for the basic training of young student pilots.
We are also proud because the simulator uses our flight model and software set from our SF 260 for MSFS 2020, software that we gladly gave for this project costless, we did not forget that “Mom” Aeronautica has rocked us for over 20 years.
We are also very satisfied because both the flight and the 3D model
were tested and verified by a test pilot of the SF 260 on
which praised the 3d model and found the flight model so
close to the real by not having to make any relief except one small and negligible.
This pleases us because at least refutes some malicious and unfounded criticism that in a manner not open but sneaky, some self-styled “simmer” who thinks he is a “guru” had turned to our model in particular for the flight model.
Thank to all who contributed to make our SF 260 better and better, include those users that reported us issues and errors in the early development stage.
Instead of editing the weight try the door handle for that side. It should hide the passenger and remove their weight. As for the tank issue, I’ve reported it a couple times. From my testing it seems like the knob on either wing tank will drain the tip first before starting on the wing, which contradicts what the operating manual states.
I just bought the SF-260 in the current marketplace sale, and really enjoyed my first flight
Like many here, I have very fond memories of the RealAir version for FSX. It was probably my most flown plane back then, and I did several repaints as well as a cockpit modification for the RealityXP GNS530.
20 years later a lot has changed. This new SF-260 by SSW looks amazing, and after the first patches the sound now seems great as well.
What I probably like the most is the tight feeling of the cockpit and the default head position. In many MSFS planes the default position is quite low, so you can see all instruments on the panel without looking down. I fly with head tracking and really enjoy the great view ahead.
The only thing I miss is a GPS. A GNS530/430 would look great in this plane. But I read in an earlier post by the dev that a more modern variant is in the making. Really looking forward to this one!
matter to change RIGHT with RIGHT_MAIN and LEFT to LEFT_MAIN
i suggest to make a safe copy of the file.
Ink-fix fix should work without any other action, however it will be set in the next SF 260 release.
Apologize for inconvenience.

I’d had my eye on this since the release but the talk about the sounds had put me off, so decided to wait to see if it got fixed and it sounds good to me. Must say I’ve enjoyed it on the first few quick flights so far, certainly has ‘quirky’ handling. The modelling is really nice, congratulations!
I’ve started setting up my controls and got a fair bit mapped, but I’m having a problem with the boost pump switch. I’m using Spad, not an expert in any sense, but I usually manage to get by. I’ve got it mapped, the fuel pressure dial registers that it’s switched on, but the switch doesn’t animate and there’s no sound…
One small thing: I’ve noticed the transponder reply light doesn’t flash in normal operation, does this happen to anyone else? It’s not a big deal but an easy fix I would imagine if it has been left out.
Maybe now is the time to learn acrobatics properly in a dedicated plane. Does anybody know of good resources/tutorials for this?
So hello after 6 month Sim pause because of break up with wife,
so today i got into the 260 cockpit to do some flights. Have to say i had to install everything from scratch because i killed the windows installation. So all files, updates and stuff downloaded up to date.
Wondered that still NO GTN-750 or anything in the cockpit?
Wanted to do a longer flight but without NAV…
This plane really had potential! Wonder if there will be an update in the near future.
After the flight i bought the 250 Comanche from the Marketplace. The final and flaring… wow, i would love to see some corrections in the 260 also after an update, to make it more real, if possible.
Are you able to improve the ground handling? (extreme sensitive nose-over and wing-tip tendency). Honestly the plane is great ONCE you got it in the air. But takeoffs are awkward and landing is something I really don’t look forward to on every trip!
Yes, crosswinds are worse, which may be understandable (still think it’s way over sensitive) but even with calm weather it’s so on edge.
Yeah, the ground handling never seems to have been resolved. I stopped flying it because in the slightest of crosswinds, it wants to tip. Oh well. They got my money.
