Yes it sucks that they still don’t respond about this massive flaw. You’d think they would like to fix it to be proud of their work, not brushed under the carpet. I bet it’s a quite easy fix if you know where to look!
I’m 100% back to the Piaggio P.149D for this kinda aircraft now. It’s still amazing even though it was one of the first ever Payware for FS2020!

Is the EA version an update for existing owners, or a new model to purchase?
Just googled it. Looks like a cool little plane. Not quite as fast as the 260, which is sad. The 260 is a slippery fast little plane. But, agreed. I got that OV-10 from AzurePoly, and OMG. Worth. Every. Penny…
Buy it, if you’re on the fence.

The Pilatus PC-3 would be cool too…
Wink,wink. Nudge, nudge
Well, i didn’t get it at first. If it is a different plane and the existing SF-260 doesn’t get the update… well then…
I finally bought this and taken it up for a couple of flights. I have to say, I’m disappointed with the flight model.

The roll is very strange. The roll rate is too slow (I’ve watched videos), even at high airspeeds. It’s slower than any other aircraft I’ve tried, apart from airliners.
-
The roll is also often not smooth. It jumps in jerky stages. When inverted, the aircraft nose dives and is often not recoverable due to no elevator authority. Very strange.
-
Ground handling is very twitchy so far, but I’m yet to explore that properly.

The trim doesn’t work. I’ve tried my hardware binds, and it seems even the wheel in the virtual cockpit isn’t clickable.
Otherwise the textures are good and the sounds reasonably good.
I hope the aircraft will be updated. As it is, I doubt I will be using it. I bought it from the Marketplace.

For what it is worth, that definitely sounds like something is off. My non-marketplace install rolls easily and smoothly. Aileron only roll rate seems consistent with real world examples. “Snap” or “flick” rolls may be a bit slow but I can’t tell for sure. Trim also works as expected in my case. Inverted flight is easily manageable although I always forget how much forward stick it requires to hold altitude. Like many aircraft in MSFS it does seem to have an exaggerated tendency to lift the upwind wing in a crosswind.
It might be worth triple checking hardware configurations and perhaps reinstalling. It remains a favorite in my hanger. If you can work through the issues it is worth it!

I can try reinstalling then. I’ve never heard of a bad installation (either the files are there or they aren’t), but it’s worth a try. I don’t normally buy from the marketplace, but this was a snap decision. Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes, on second thought I can’t see how a corrupted download would cause those problems. I would expect that would be more likely to cause a CTD. It does sound more like a conflict of some sort though. Maybe clean out the Community folder if you haven’t already?
As a follow up point, I just testing the trim wheel in my installation and it was clickable/draggable with the mouse. I also have it mapped to buttons on my joystick. Both seem to change the trim as expected.
What are you using for controllers?
Honeycomb Bravo, and Brunner and Rhino force feedback hardware, but that shouldn’t affect anything as their buttons behave exactly like others, and their trim assignments work in all other aircraft.
I asked because some people fly with the keyboard… it’s important to understand the controllers being used. Sometimes there’s fixes based on the controller. So, thanks for the more information… sorry I’m not familiar with your hardware, but it sounds good to me. And, yes, it’s not likely your hardware, although you may want to check for doubled assignments. That can cause issues like you’re having (I’m not saying that’s the problem, just suggesting it as a check to make sure).

Is the EA model still planned?
Yes,
we are on it.
The cockpit is quite different from previous, so it took a bit more efforts and time.

Can we please get the parking brake to work with the individual “Parking Brake On” and “Parking Brake Off” commands?
“Toggle Parking Brake” works when bound to a HOTAS input, but that’s not optimal when you’re using it with a latching two-way switch.
Thanks for any consideration. Other than that, I don’t really have any complaints about this plane. Far and away my favorite just to hop in and fly around a bit.
You ever get this sorted? As with FlyingCool5650, I have none of the issue that you reported. Rolls as it should, flies inverted as it should, trim works properly via mouse in the cockpit and my HOTAS.
I see I also never asked the all important question …Are you using modern flight model or Legacy? If you’re using Legacy, that’s your problem.
hello,
don’t use legacy, flight model is based on modern.

Yes I did, thanks. I didn’t consciously do anything and one day it was fine!
